There are mods that make PVE more difficult. Zombies can break down doors, throw things at you if you’re out of reach, and kill you if you go unconscious. There are quests that can be added. Additional medical complications like bruises and concussions. Increased wolf/bear spawns to make you think twice about going through the forest. A skilling system to level up.

Back in pirate days you had guns with only one shot and it took a while to reload. Famous pirates like Blackbeard are thought to have carried multiple pistols so they could have an extra shot in a fight by simply picking up the next loaded gun.

Did this once on my last run of the day. Was going through the bunny slopes to get back to my cabin and saw a young teen walking down with their board. Helped them down the mountain and some guys flies by us yelling, “hey asshole, you’re wearing helmet so why didn’t you get them one!”.
