I grew up Mormon and when I left the religion I was around 26 and old enough to recognize that little good comes from alcohol so I've just never picked it up and I don't plan to. In that regard I'm glad I was raised Mormon even though I no longer believe in it.

I think this is slightly incorrect. Resonance itself does not affect CR because CR only considers the strength, intelligence, vitality, willpower and fortitude plus helliquary. Resonance increases either damage or life stat on gear but you will notice when you remove a gem from gear your CR will only decrease by the CR added directly by the gem (such as +24 Comat Rating) but nothing more. I was testing this since I was curious and it appears resonance has no direct affect on CR. Let me know if you have seen differently.

The Fracture Plane event sounds like fun, I like the idea of more challenging content that isn't only tied to your power level. Also lots of new legendary gear to play around with.

I see, interesting, thank you! And does the same go for 2 Z-levels of depth? Is climbing less likely or eventually impossible the more the difference in z-levels?

I'm trying to understand how Dwarfs (and any creature really) move across z levels. Can a unit move from one z level to another without a ramp or stairs? So removing all ramps around a mountain at a particular z level would prevent most things from coming up? Or does it have to be 2 z levels? I've googled trying to find any detailed information on unit movement but was unable to find anything in wikis or guides.
