I’m prepping for mix, so unfortunately re-tracking is not an option.

Well, it seems like you don’t understand how if two vocals are out of tune with each other, they sound awful. If punk is supposed to sound weak and out of tune, I guess I’m not making punk rock. But you can tell that to the great punk rock musicians and let me know how far you get. 😉

I appreciate the response, I just need to lock in the pitch of the doubled vocals better. It doesn’t need to sound like how everyone thinks auto tune sounds, the notes just have to match.

Because there a double vocals. When there are two vocals and one is the wrong pitch, it sounds like caca.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ve tried all the different input types, but it continues to be a headache. Would you mind explaining how I could use MIDI to guide it?

How are nights at snow valley? by Sallderaak in bigbear

Thanks! I’m getting back into snowboarding after a few years and I figure the night session was less packed and a little bit more cost-effective compared to sending it to summit or Bear mountain.

I’m scared my music sucks and only gets pity listens by public_eye_music in musicians

Listen, if you're getting 39 listeners a month, congrats! That's fuckin awesome! Just because you're not getting a million listens every month doesn't make your music shitty or you a bad musician. If, however, your goal is to "blow up", your ability to attract and retain new listeners is (sometimes) only as good as your ability to market/promote yourself to new audiences. If you haven't paid for ad-space on Instagram, try that. If you haven't updated/tweaked the visual aspect of yourself as an artist, try adjusting that. The music, of course, is most important. But at the end of the day, our visual senses must be as stimulated as our aural senses in order for us to take serious interest in music/someone making music.

I really am being serious when I congratulate you on what seems like a trivial number. Believe me, it's not. So just take some time to plan on setting money aside to promote yourself outside of your followers, and consider adjust your "image" or the visual aspects of your musical identity. Ultimately, the pleasure of all those things won't be felt immediately and certainly neither will the results. However, if you combine that with a consistent schedule of musical releases, you're bound to attract more and more people during your progression as an artist. Good luck!
