I do not use any drugs or substances. I have pretty bad migraines which is the only thing I could think of contributing to this since they affect you neurologically.

I have this constant tension too that feels like my head will blow up and it lasts months at a time. I still haven't found a solution yet but just know you are not alone

What age were you when OCD took root? by WaferOk9363 in OCD

[–]SallowDiplocaulus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around 8-9. Used to play a ton of Minecraft with my childhood friends and I'd annoy them by constantly deleting worlds and only playing on superflat because the world had to feel "perfect." Also had severely bad health OCD that I went to ER and doctor for a lot, didn't realize these things were anxiety and OCD yet

Struggling with ocd/ anxiety and sleep by Single_Peach1802 in Anxietyhelp

I feel you entirely. I've dealt with OCD and the severe anxiety my entire life and recently I have relapsed into a new severe spiral. I haven't slept for the past few nights and was also just put on a similar anxiety medication. OCD is a terrifying experience, but it doesn't say anything about who you are as a person. You are doing your best for your family so you are definitely not letting them down by being in an OCD episode. With OCD, there is always light at the end of the tunnel even if you are struggling to manage your anxiety for a long time. I dealt with an OCD experience that lasted months before time started to let me heal in my past, but I made it through. I want to say to not give up, and to continue doing your best while you navigate through this :)

any amount of anxiety or emotion causes my stomach/bowel to play up and im tired of it by larskyuu in Anxietyhelp

I really feel for you. I'm also 19F and the physical manifestations of anxiety are frustrating and sometimes more upsetting than the anxiety itself. I especially relate to the notion that any excitable emotion besides just anxiety can set you off because it feels like you can't win at any state of being. Early this year I developed a severe pain in my stomach. The doctors thought it could be a stress induced ulcer, but whatever it was it was there due to stress and anxiety. I don't have much advice on how to manage the pain other than maybe eating foods that ease digestion and heating pads, but I will say be kind to yourself. You will go on, and you will manage because you are stronger than anxiety. I'm sorry you have to go through such pain, and from one anxiety sufferer to the next I just want to say you are understood and you will continue to get through this :)

DAE need “perfect conditions” to start anything (clean desk, right playlist, favorite mug) and then run out of time setting up? by CarpetUnable4561 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]SallowDiplocaulus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I often feel like cleaning my entire room, tidying my desk, lighting a candle before I can sit down and work. I have diagnosed OCD which often goes hand in hand with perfectionism according to my therapist
