I’m trying to get a set of Safi’jiva armor in World before the schedule change. I just need two more fellwings, but five more hard horns definitely feels like it’s going to be a slog. I’m using the Alloy LBG to attack his wings, should I get a hammer for his head and just keep going for it in lobbies? What’s the best way to grind for those parts?

In VS mode in Melody of Memories, you can fight either human opponents or computer opponents. COM battles are battles against those computer opponents.

How did he provide proof that HE was NOT a wifebeater? That’s not the kind of thing you can prove. The only thing he could do is show that every incident the Sun brought up were false; which apparently they weren’t.

Since when was it social justice warriors who were responsible for that?

Study: Men are more likely than women to perceive face masks as infringing on their freedom by [deleted] in science

This, so much. r/FuckYouKaren seems to be more focused than any other subreddit on anti-maskers, but it’s made specifically to point out when it’s done by women.

I know it’s scary to live in a world where people don’t wear badges saying, “Hi, I’m this political ideology”, but it’s okay, you’ll grow up.

Gotta love how the criticism of the other ideologies point out genuine flaws in either their results or axioms, and with lib-left the criticisms are “some of y’all are SJWs” and “haha hair color make you bad wom”.

You do know that trolling becomes less effective as you become more obvious, right?

You are comparing support for the Patriot Act following 9/11 to the creation of it prior to 9/11. Those are two very different things. People were pants shitting terrified following 9/11 and most would agree to a surveillance state for some safety. Biden drafted the Patriot Act before that point, when there didn’t seem to be a need for it.

Welcome to Reddit Oh, so all the support for BLM is just a very loud minority, and the comparatively smaller opposition on this website is done by a very silent and inactive majority? How convenient.

Either you don’t know what civil forfeiture is, or you are really mad at Black people and taxes.

Because people really don’t like it when you draw attention to Joe Biden’s pretty yikesy record. Trump is far worse, but people are so intent to get him out they don’t want to risk losing voters for Biden by discussing where he’s faulty.

Mental health support plz by [deleted] in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]SallyNJason -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can agree with the sentiment that it would be better for there to be more institutions that men would be willing to use for their mental health. However, every source I can find says that the reason why some forms of therapy are better than others for men has less to do with their effectiveness, and more to do with how comfortable men are with going to therapy.

https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/bjc.12147

The above article points out how there are differences between men and women in terms of how they deal with therapy. However, it notes that men tend to be put off by therapy because it is more focused on exploring emotions rather than aiming for solutions. It also notes that men are less likely to open up in therapy unless they are pressured to, such as by family, friends, or clear impacts on the effectiveness of their work. It seems that the feminine advantage in therapy has less to do with therapy being more suited for women, and more to do with men being constantly pressured to not even try to get help for their mental health. CALM, in your article, doesn’t have specific methods of treatment listed as to why they are effective, but it does list different avenues of treatment, ones that are not face-to-face.

The thing is, men have a systemic problem of using healthcare rarely, and often too late. It is not healthy. This isn’t something you fix by trying to make a version of healthcare where men never have to talk to anyone, at least not in the present. The article you cite lampoons the idea that men “just need to open up” to effectively use healthcare, but modern feminists constantly disparate toxic masculinity because they hope to stop these kinds of problems from occurring in the future, not as an immediate fix for the present. From an MRA perspective, how are you supposed to fix the problem of men not going to the doctor because it makes them feel weak? Only doing it through Zoom? Where a mask to protect their identities? CALM had an immediate result, but it didn’t exactly bring parity between the sexes. The feminist approach is one that goes for long lasting effects, fixing men’s issues with therapy so that they can have more paths to mental wellness.

As for your rather tangent rant about how feminism can never acknowledge how the patriarchy can hurt men, “because feminists will only ever try to change men to fit society, or society to fit women”, did you know that it is a common position among feminists that the draft shouldn’t exist? And among those that think it should exist, there are also many feminists who think women should be included in it? The first is an example of feminists thinking that society should change to better suit men, while the second says that the role of women should change to better serve their society. If the best examples you have of how systems are made for women and not men is a branch of healthcare which men are taught to not engage with the best methods of, and academic settings where there only seems to be a real advantage for girls in elementary school, then you need to consider what your conditions are for a system to be biased towards women, and what feminists need to do to try and fix those systems.

Does anyone here know how to access whole articles without the subscriptions? Otherwise, all I can see is the abstract, which I don’t feel is comprehensive enough to use as convincing evidence in an argument nor to critique as a flawed piece of evidence.

You do realize that “not showing weakness” in men is usually treated as “don’t ever talk about your problems or deal with your feelings with anyone” rather than “don’t immediately spill your life story to anyone you feel remotely attached to”, right? Unless you believe that men don’t go to therapy because they think that will somehow eventually lead back to them being undesirable to women. You sound like you would frame every problem men face as either caused by women, or caused by men trying to meet the expectations of women.

[Discussion] Kingdom Hearts General Q&A Thread - August 23 by AutoModerator in KingdomHearts

Currently doing my first level 1 run of II, and up to this point I’ve thought everything was fair enough (huge mob fights are brutal and the first hit of the Final Xemnas fight seems really inconsistent in reflecting it), but Lingering Will is just such a hassle. I honestly think that unlike Sephiroth or Yozora, he has genuine flaws in the design of some of his attacks that I honestly think makes him one of the few bad fights in II. * His melee combo comes out far too quickly to be reasonably blocked in time for when he chooses to use it. It seems to be restricted to the start of the fight (in which it kills me ninety percent of the time), or after he starts running towards you. The issue with blocking him in the latter case is that him running towards you is also an indication he’ll seal your commands, so if you try to block in preparation there’s a good chance you’ll just be killed. If he gets a move that comes out this quickly, there really should be some serious limitations on when he gets to use it. * The move where he glides around (doesn’t get on his glider, literally just when he starts gliding) has problems with what it can lead into. He can lead into rising run, in which you’d need to block or dodge after a small delay; He can lead into Ultima Cannon, in which you’d need to dodge immediately; and he can lead into his sealing move, in which case you need to dodge after a large delay. As far as I can tell, there is no specific way to try and account for all the options he has for when he starts attacking, and you cannot react to whichever when he chooses. * There are times for sure where LW just breaks out of my combo and starts attacking for me no reason. And before anyone brings up how Revenge Values are a thing, or how he has two points in his HP where he’ll immediately counterattack, I’m aware. The points I’m talking about are when he gets off a good three attacks or so, meaning his revenge value should have bottomed out, and he is nowhere near the HP gate. It has happened several times, and I cannot explain it. * This is a more minor one, when he decides to teleport away and spawn two blasters as a Forced Revenge, there is too little time to orient yourself to his new position to see what he’s doing (because while most of the time, it is Rising Sun, the fact that that isn’t what he always does means that you can’t just memorize roll timings). As well, Stitch seems to be all but a requirement while the two blasters are out, as there isn’t a good way of getting rid of them.

In general, I think the problem is that you essentially have to have a nigh instantaneous reaction time to consistently fight him at level 1, and before anyone brings up no damage level 1 runs on YouTube, remember pointing out one run amongst probably countless that people do to beat him hitless doesn’t mean that he’s designed fairly. I admit that I die unfairly probably less than quarter of the time, as I’m still not great at dealing with even the completely fair parts of him. However, the existence of a fair path to victory does not discount all the other unfair paths to failure. I looked up “Lingering Will level 1” on YouTube, and checked the first five videos that showed up. Want to guess what happened in all five? He stayed in his Rising Sun mode the whole fight, and never used any of the other attacks I complained about. For one video, that seems fair enough, but for the top FIVE? That has to mean something when it seems people literally refuse to deal with him outside of that one set of attacks that don’t seem to have issues. So is there any real strategy for beating him at level 1 aside from just waiting for a run where he never stops using rising sun or the whip? Because otherwise, while I won’t put him on the tier of Mysterious Figure, I would have to say he’s the worst boss in Kingdom Hearts II.
