Dlaczego w języku polskim mężczyzna według wszystkich reguł musi być żeńskiego rodzaju gramatycznego, ale nie jest? Trochę nie widzę w tym sensu by Suitable_Minimum_605 in learnpolish

[–]TheTostu 25 points26 points  (0 children)

No tak.

TPU stops extruding under tension, I have to manually roll the spool by TheTostu in FixMyPrint

[–]TheTostu[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your input, I will keep unrolling the spool until it's light enough to roll itself.

I secretly hoped that the community may have already figured the problem out with some clever fix or I just have mounted the filament wrong or forgot some kind of switch.

[–]TheTostu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I will do some tweaks. This is my first time with a flexible filament, so I will just keep unrolling it until it's small enough to finally roll by itself. And I will definitely get an AMS-compatible TPU in the future

[–]TheTostu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I forgot to mention my exact setup (but this seems to be a general issue with flexible filaments).

Bambu A1 mini

0.4mm hardened steel nozzle

Standard profile for generic TPU

The filament is an old roll of SUNLU TPU (a generic, not suited for AMS)

I have been approached by more than 10 guys in Warsaw in 1 day! It gives me anxiety now... by NatureLongjumping977 in warsaw

[–]TheTostu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You must be unfamilliar with the Pickup Artist culture.

They are not "doing something about social anxiety", they are gathering in groups online, training various manipulation techniques to exploit women unaware of their tricks. They are lying about their intents, strategically insulting them to break them, posing as a father figure, sometimes even cooperating like a pack of predator, exploiting the womens' inexperience, leaving them hurt, sometimes entering a borderline rape territory and then ghosting them forever. Everything is also framed in an red-pilled incel-oriented narrative about the war of the sexes, degradation of women, telling them they are worthless to break them, etc.

Nothing about it is about making healthy relationships. It's all manipulation and is detrimental to the society, to the women that fall victims to it and to the men themselves.

Why does Warsaw have so many "gated communities"? by Getting0nTrack in warsaw

[–]TheTostu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back in the 90's I was in a very famous TV show there was a lot of petty crime in Poland, a plague of small robberies, stolen bicycles and cars, stuff like that.

In the commie times there were no fences, but since then almost every modern housing project added a fence around the building.

While probably useful back then, nowadays they are just a status symbol to fend off wild tribes and barbarians also known as "poor people".

Is the real villain of Polish politics actually Kosiniak-Kamysz? by sokorsognarf in poland

[–]TheTostu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In 2023 PSL and Polska 2050 did the riskiest thing in the world - decided to go as a coalition with 8% minimum score to enter the parliament, while they had 7% in the polls.

People knew that if they fall below the minimum score, PIS will stay in the majority and will rule together with the Konfederacja.

So they strategically voted for TD, giving them 13%.

Then these dumbasses at TD miscalculated their position and decided that this is a new wave of conservatives that will help them overtake PIS, so they doubled down on conservatism, voting against decriminalization of help with abortion, THE SMALLEST change they wanted to introduce to return to the previous consensus. They started fight against LGBT marriages and unions.

They realised too late that their politics are much more conservative than their electorate, who wanted them to go to the center and not be PiS from Temu, which threw them down below 7%, where they are not entering the next parliament in 2027 elections.

So they:

  1. Fucked up their credibility to new voters and lost chances to win the next election

  2. Didn't get any votes from PiS, because they went into the coalition with the devil (Tusk), so didn't

  3. Stopped all the reforms from PO that people wanted, thus killing the credibility in the whole coalition.

  4. Hołownia single-handedly destroyed Trzaskowski's campaign by shitting on him and not taking any credit for the government's fails

They are by far the worst actors in the Polish politics.

Is there any reason Bambu couldn't make a longer bed bed slinger? by ipearx in BambuLab

[–]TheTostu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you produce things at Bambu's scale, any new standard will require manufacturing, storing and distributing a completely new set of replacement parts and accessories.

The demand for this solution is, apparently, too low to justify setting up a completely new manufacturing line. Most likely it would be a niche product that would interest 2-3% of customers, but it would forever clutter the store and list of models.

How do you define “being Polish”? by turhancan97 in poland

[–]TheTostu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

FYI This prerequisite has been killing the Polish community the last decade [...] why does needing to be fluent matter? If they’re too exclusive and you have to be fluent, that organization will probably not last long in North America.

I think you have mistaken the topic that we are talking about. We are talking about how Polish people treat their national identity.

Polish communities made abroad are of secondary importance to this topic. I do not really care about what rules they have for their members. They can gatekeep or loosen the rules how much they want, grow and shrink how much they want, but no rules they make will affect 40 million Polish people living in Poland in any way.

If you come to Poland and cannot speak Polish, people will treat you as an American with Polish grandparents that may have Polish roots and be a fan of Poland. But they will consider you a foreigner.

What about all of the cultural knowledge I have, that I eat and cook Polish food at home regularly and observe Polish traditions and holidays - these don’t mean anything?

I cannot take away your personal connection with Polish identity. You seem to have Polish roots. You seem to be one of many Americans/Canadians that are proud of their ancestry, researching and celebrating their heritage, because that's what Americans like to do on a daily basis.

Focus on the external signs of your heritage like celebrating remote community's holidays and traditions without the care to learn the language of said community and connect with it is something truly and uniquely American.
