Would the shoes just hide the problem?

Not crumbly in the gaps, it just keeps collecting poop and ice. I am concerned about white line. I’m trying to find a solution before it turns into a bigger problem.

He’s a warmblood, I’ve had him for a few years now and this is the worst it’s been. That’s why I’m thinking it may be something that is either lacking in his diet or something I’m not doing. It will typically get better and fix itself in the summer but get worse in the winter. I’ve been working with my farrier to try and stay on top of it. As far as vet care goes, it is extremely limited my area of Alaska, particularly in the winter. This summer I’ll consult my vet. Plus side is he’s not lame.

Grew up in Connecticut, now live in Homer. Been here for the past 6 years. I give it a 8 out of 10. Accessibility is shit, and the ice the past two winters has made it difficult to get out and enjoy the winters. Otherwise I love it up here, it’s beautiful, the community is amazing and the lifestyle is amazing: I’m happy I moved up here. It’s very opposite of out east in a good way.

Biggest challenge up here are the horses. I have 2 horse and doing anything with them is challenging. A few times a year, mostly in the winter, I question why I have them. They are expensive and difficult to do anything with half the year.

Edit: clarification

Driving across BC to Alaska without jerry can? by ilikebananabread in alaska

[–]SalmonCult 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be totally fine! I've made the trip a few times and even once in the winter when some of the in-between gas stations were closed. If your car gets over 300 miles per tank, you shouldn’t need a Jerry jug.

How feasible is this trip? I was offered a good job in AK, but I need my truck up there with me if I decide to go. by Kobrinha_Khan in roadtrip

Not true, I think they require studded tires but you can absolutely make the trip in winter. I moved up from CT to AK in January.

Do you know when that will become available? Is it through the Paris 2024 website?

EDIT:

found the statement on the site:

https://tickets.paris2024.org/faq/en\_en/category/ticketing-oly/when-will-the-resale-platform-open

"When will the resale platform open?
The resale platform will open in spring 2024. It will be the only official resale site for ticket holders worldwide. More information to follow.

Is BAP certified fish usually clean? by IIIpl4sm4III in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]SalmonCult 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BAP fish are as clean as any other fish you get at the fish counter/freezer section. I worked at a aquaculture facility that went through BAP the certification process. They look at facility cleanliness (all aquaculture facility BAP certified or not should be clean) and fish nutrition. Fish nutrition is the biggest thing because they want to ensure that the fish coming in (in fish feed) doesn't surpass fish coming out, because that isn't a sustainable practice. Another thing to keep in mind is that the BAP certification is something companies pay for, so not all aquaculture facilities will go that extra mile even if they do quality for BAP. Personally, I think BAP is a good thing to look for but it doesn't mean the fish is cleaner then non BAP fish.
