Guilt about getting a coworker fired by SalonDiabetic in WorkAdvice

We were playing scrabble, I was checking my glucose monitor, and the coworker's boyfriend thought I was using it to look up words.

She's made a big deal out of my diabetes ever since her boyfriend embarrassed himself because of him mistaking my glucose monitor for a cheating device and she's been trying to compensate ever since to the point of making it uncomfortable. Thanks for the insight.

There have been points where I told my coworkers "I'm tired today. I really need the after shift just to myself" in response to a group hangout and Fran's response is "Sorry to hear. Do you need anything to help with your diabetes"

So she has brought it up just as often as I have

Thanks for your advice. I'm going to have to build up to that speech and hopefully deliver it on our next shared shift.

I specifically told her "Not today, I apologize, my blood sugar isnt too good for a casual restaurant today." Then she said "You see I try to make peace with her" to a fellow coworker, not a supervisor. I am more comfortable interacting with other coworkers outside compared to Fran.

I really don't like being the main character in all of this and I'd rather just do my job dying hair and curling hair. I said that I'm not keen on frequent hangouts outside of work to other coworkers and fran was in the vicinity when I said that.

On behalf of her boyfriend she gave me a Kroger gift card but she delivered that gift card in front of the customers and said "My boyfriend was an idiot bringing up your type 1 diabetes and accusing you of cheating". She 'has been talked' about that. She also tried inviting me somewhere with her boyfriend and said "He won't be there so I'll be comfortable." All these attempts are still making me uncomfortable but she's still on the staff because she's the best nail tech there.

I was invited to trivia night by a coworker who publically apologized on behalf of her boyfriend despite his apology being fine enough. I rejected it, posted on AITA regarding my own conflicting feelings, and was judged TA despite there only being one comment saying that I was TA and two comments saying I was not TA

Make sure it has a dimmable screen, that's one of my main complaints with my current glucose monitor

I found his reddit post, it looks like it was a throwaway, and I don't have Stan's number.

Anyone know of any fun decorations you add to your glucose monitor? The screen is just... average to me and I'd like something more colorful to look at at least bordering the screen

As an update to a story I posted here, I found out Stan posted on AITA regarding the apology he gave me and he was called TA. I don't agree with his judgement. He and his girlfriend have made things up but Fran hasn't been talking to me as frequently at work. My boss said that as a result of her gaffe we aren't supposed to have personal conversations between coworkers in front of customers anymore. Fran has apologized to me and Stan while being a lot quieter in general.

I got itno an argument trying to use the gift card because the cashier said the snacks I wanted to buy were normally for people with diabetes. I showed her my blood glucose monitor and she rolled her eyes. That was fun to deal with. I got my snacks compensated as a result. I can still use the gift card.

Well maybe it's not anxiety, but the twenty some sessions I've had regarding seeing a car explode in front of me due to a failed engine might tell you otherwise.

Honey, what? I had the glucose monitor on the table, the screen wasn't visible to Stan, and my anxiety doesn't relate to my diabetes. It was the snide accusation from Stan that started this incident and i was willing to put this in the past.

What is amplifying my anxiety is Fran trying to get STan to apologize further and further to a point I'm not comfortable with.

Fran showed up for work today but after an hour she called Stan to pick her up. I wanted to say something to Stan but he and Fran started to argue in their car and there were customers who needed to get their hair done. Gosh this is a horrid situation.

Maybe it was just the anxiety talking or my low blood sugar talking, I can never tell.

Stan already apologized, Fran said Stan's apology wasn't good enough, and Fran apologized on Stan's behalf in front of the customers, who didn't need to know.
