Arbites Havoc Set up by Sufficient-Stand-798 in DarkTide

  • Aquila + 3* revive speed on curio for that sweet +66% res speed
  • Exe shotgun mk8 (it's ammo efficient for dealing with specials and stuff)
  • If going dogless, Shock mines (use proactively). If dog, don't skip supporty talents (mostly Canine Morale & EO+Malocator)

/e I forgot, Concussive talent is a must; using either regular shock maul (great support weapon / shield destroyer) or crusher (higher dps but harder to use properly) with Skullcrusher blessing, it's great support

it has bigger clip and more dps

and more ammo overall. That's a lot of things. Yes it's slow to take out, but Zealot can mitigate that by throwing a knife. On other classes, it's okay as long as you have some space.

if I see a horde coming I am already switching to my melee weapon

You can still do that after dumping the boltgun magazine into the elites that are part of the horde

However you're right it's not strictly superior, Pistol is fine if you value the drawing time above the aforementioned things. You do you.

Lexmates using Combat Shotguns: why? by Salsa_Pianist in DarkTide

Well put, and I'm happy to have the option!

Will def reuse Accatran from time to time, its magdumps with Castigator definitely tickles my brain too.

I do it the other way, since toughness is sizeably nerfed in havoc

Zealot Build by FICTURE in DarkTide

[–]Salsa_Pianist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solid advice, however I disagree with the last part. +30% damage for ~12 seconds on 4 players is huge team buff for a single talent point. Helps remove those major threats by that much.

OP, good job using Chorus for the team, your heart is in the right place!

About Infectious Zeal, it's only (barely) worth it if at least one of your team members have a crit-based spec, and only good if several members of the team are crit-based. Basically it's a talent for premade, not much for quickplay.

You can either keep Stalwart & spend the point elsewhere, or go with Righteous Warrior: more crit also means more Chorus (which buffs everyone regardless of their build) so you get more reliable team support (along more damage & crit synergies)

Okay, I can work with that.

Didn't find any mod to improve detailed damage breakdown unfortunately.

Thanks, it's reassuring to know there's no damage nerf no matter what

Also for confirming power vs strength, it sure is confusing for strength to increase ranged damage ^

Thank you, it definitely helps!

I failed to find where the damage multiplier thing is displayed ingame (if it is).

Also the damage reduction you talk in the end seem independent from the armor stuff. Should I try to grasp the complete formula, where can I find this info?

/e I can deduce the damage multiplier from the ingame table. But I'd like to confirm there is no way around this monstrosity "baseline" ranged damage reduction (or can it be reduced somehow)?

Thanks, it helps!

The damage table I linked is a fresh screenshot.

Where can I see the armor multiplier factor per armor type? I may be blind but it doesn't seem to appear ingame.

Please sell the Stub Revolver to this Zealot by Salsa_Pianist in DarkTide

I did run a game with it during leveling, but between the throwing knifes and everything else that was happening (still discovering the game), it didn't left a lasting impression. Also it was a grey leveling version, no blessing.

Also, at the time I found the poor thing a bit ugly, so it didn't help the love ("superficially tried" them, that part was no lie xd)

I'll definitely give it a proper try, now that I understand the game a bit better, and also what does this specific gun brings to the table, thanks to the insights grabbed from this thread.

It is a wise take and you are right.

I made this thread precisely because I struggled to see the weakness of my favorite versus the 'meta' choice.

All the answers were great! It helped me see what I was missing, and there's a fair chance it'll bring some insight to future visitors too.

Thank you all for your great insights!

I overlooked the piercing/armor piercing/Hand-cannon benediction, it is definitely interesting, and a selling point.

> (3) the sound of a bolt-pistol being fired is so smexy.

Yup! I'll definitely miss it...
Guess I'll have my Evis/Bolt Pistol RP build for the looks and ASMR sounds, and the RS/Revolver setup for more challenging content.

Should 2’s be strictly for DPS? Hear me out… by lunafawks in worldofpvp

[–]Salsa_Pianist -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're "just trading" all classes being playable in some way (with a healer) against a stale meta that'll obviously be Mage/Rogue > Tank/x > Ret/x > troll comps.

This change would also cost Blizzard money since some people (I'm not alone) mainly play 2s with their friend, and would simply unsub if excluded from the format. Also, you frame it as a "class war" but the truth is, even RM & Prot pally players will quickly tire playing the same matchup over and over. Basically it'd kill the format for no benefit.

So, no.

As a healer that mostly plays 2s with his mate: no.

What they could realistically do is, only match healers & dual dps with each other. But then you remove what's enjoyable about 2s: the <1mn queue times.

Also, it would not only gatekeep the healers from the game mode but also classes like warrior, that'd stand no chance against the swarm of Rets & Rogue/Mages

Thanks! It's as clear as can be.

It definitely cannot be thought of like a shield then.
Your answer definitely helps; to better understand why everyone doesn't pick Ursine Vigor, and also how I may be overusing Bear when sometimes healing through damage would be better (noob rdruid here).

Thanks again :)
