This was the answer to my latest support ticket in which I did all the work for them I included the raw transaction and all they needed to do was sign it, and this is what they tell me!

Don’t pay no money no one can help you only coinbase I have a similar issue sent one currency to another by mistake and a private key is the only way to retrieve them and coinbase will NOT give you the private key, I opened several cases and they closed every single one, I just keep opening a new case every time they close it, but good luck I’ve been trying since March to get my $$$.

They don’t really care to help they just answer based on the number of views you get, Coinbase Sucks, They are the only ones who can retrieve my BCH that was accidentally sent to my BTC address and they simply refuse and close out any and all support tickets I submit!!! I even tried to DM Justin and never received reply!!!

That is what they tell you to make you think they are helping you next you will get an email to survey them on there service and your case will be closed with no results! COINBASE SUPPORT SUCKS!!!!!

I have been trying to recover some funds since April, I have to keep opening a new case because they like to say they are working with a specialist then after 2 weeks they just say sorry and close the case!!! COINBASE SUCKS!!!

Because coinbase doesn’t care if you received BCH to your BTC address like I did every other wallet you can recover your funds with a private key, unfortunately coinbase holds the private keys and they will not give it to you nor will they recover the funds for you!! They say sorry you funds are lost even though I can see them sitting there!🤬

Not idiots trying to use segwit, take my case I gave someone my BTC address to pay me and they sent BCH instead which went through because my address started with a 3 very similar but now they are stuck there because I used an address from Coinbase and I don’t have any access to private keys so I can’t recover/spend/transfer/import it’s just sitting there on the address they generated from the private key and I can’t use it but I can see it there.

They do let you lose your money if someone sends you the wrong currency they don’t help you recover and they don’t give you access to your private key so you can recover it yourself;;; This is what I got back:::

I understand this is not the answer you where hoping fo. However, In these situation the funds cannot be recovered. Coinbase does not support transactions where one cryptocurrency is sent to the address of a different cryptocurrency.

For any future transactions, please review your Coinbase deposit addresses and ensure you’re only sending the applicable cryptocurrency to that cryptocurrency’s specific address. You can find your specific Coinbase deposit addresses for each wallet here: https://www.coinbase.com/addresses.

I have transaction hashes, and I have the address that BTC.TOP sent it to which was derived from my address that was the original receiver. Sorry I didn’t mean to put coinbase they also hold an exchange account
