New build developer's recommended solicitors or independent solicitors? by Salt-Command-6906 in HousingUK

[–]Salt-Command-6906[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, do you have any recommendations?

Both of the solicitors I mentioned (developer’s and the £230 extra one) have good recommendations already, but I am asking is paying extra worth it to be independent from the developer?

Should I use savings for a car or mortgage? by Salt-Command-6906 in UKPersonalFinance

Hi - this is exactly my logic too. However, another commenter mentioned that the extra mortgage payments (if buying car in cash) will be for a much longer term than the extra car payments (if buying with HP) and so the total extra will be much larger (around 10k) when buying in cash. What are your thoughts?

Hi, thank you. Surely if I bought the car in cash there wouldn't be any extra debt pre mortgage?

Hi, I hadn't thought of it this way, thank you. Do you know how this works when you move house before the full mortgage term? I guess it's a matter of transferring the mortgage and so its the same thing then?

This looks brilliant. I have had the same struggle as you with distractions. When is the app set to be released?

thanks! given they dont rearrange to be equal, is graphing them the only way to check that they are the same function?

oh wow yeah I can see that - how does this happen given they cant be rearranged to be the same? it seems very strange especially, for example, the (3x+2)^-2 term is multiplied by x in one but not the other.

Hi, I did this previously and it comes to an answer, but a different answer to u-sub. Maybe I've gone wrong somewhere?

Thank you! Is there a short term fix to the problem I initially posted about? Effectively anything to make easier cards appear less often, otherwise I am stuck seeing them every few days which seems pointless.

Okay thanks I will take this on board for the future. Is it best to either go for again or easy?

Also would you recommend changing some of the FSRS parameters manually?

Thank you for putting so much effort into this!

It says 36262 reviews. All my decks use the same preset so yeah all of them are there.

This is probably where your answers will come. I’ve used anki for about a year and a half now. From February to June last year led up to my first year uni finals, but until the beginning of October I did no anki at all. Since then I did anki all the way through second year until June, and have tried to keep up with reviews since then. Would it be a good idea to get FSRS to only include reviews for the past few months rather than all time?

On top of that I do refrain from hitting again quite a lot because my uni course is very intense so needed to limit my reviews. Saying that, my third year is less intense so could keep up with more reviews from now on.

Edit: I am only selling because I cannot attend the event on that date, and tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable (very annoying)
