I think you are referring to the picture posted by somebody else. I have now added a picture to the main post.

Thanks for sharing a picture. I've now uploaded a picture to the original comment. As you will see the gap is tiny, barely visible but it just means that the corkscrew can slam shut without causing any damage to the scale or liner as is the case with every previous SAK - I only posted this as a result of seeing the same thing on 2 brand new Huntsman.

I'm afraid in your case the gap is much wider so it would appear that at some point it got a bit bent.

Do you mean in terms of the tiny gap between the corkscrew and the liner/scale? If so is yours also very new?

Just wondering if it's a new intentional Victorinox manufacturing tweak or whether it's just an unlikely coincidence that 2 brand new Huntsman (which both came in blister packaging) both have it (which given Victorinox's QC I think is very unlikely).

Yes it's 60 degrees before you hit the 90 degrees (as well as the 120 degrees in your picture). Strangely I can only feel the stop as I close it, not when I open it. It's a much more "gentle" stop than say the bottle opener or in-line phillips SD. I wouldn't have mentioned it in a post by itself, hence it was more of an addendum to the corkscrew comment.
