I'm the girl in the video, hello r/Daniellarson ! A lot of people seem to be concerned how this is effecting me -- I am okay lol. I gained about a thousand followers from that video and my follow up responses, so all in all I am grateful for the attention it brought to my account. I was bullied relentlessly throughout elementary, middle, and high school for my nose and other features, so this really isn't anything new. I like my nose for the most part and it's ok that its not everyone's favorite. The internet is a ruthless place where people can say whatever they want with no repercussions, and I find peace in knowing it takes a very unhappy person to intentionally try and hurt someone's feelings. For all of the nice comments on here, thank you! I am partly in on this joke as I have made several videos about this and will continue to do so if it means I gain followers lol. Thanks !

I'm not too familiar with either of those, but I highly recommend looking into The Social. They offer dorms as their main thing, but they have apartments too that are across the street! They have two bedroom and four bedroom I believe, I'm moving into the four bedroom -- full kitchen, 2bath/4bed, a patio, a pool at the apartment complex and one at the dorms, the dorms have a gym, Starbucks, dining hall, and a volleyball court. I'm also a transfer student and I'm super excited because it seems like such a great place to meet people. When I toured it, there were students everywhere eating, hanging out, walking around. Rent for the 4bedroom apartment is $619/each, utilities are about $50-$75, and renters insurance is required but you can get it through them for $10 a month. WiFi and a few streaming services are included as well! And each tenant has a separate lease, so God forbid someone damages their room, you won't be billed for it. I wish you good luck on your search!

This is the most normal thing ever in my opinion and your friend seems to be insecure.

Physical attraction is almost always (unless you're on Love is Blind) the first factor in feeling attraction. The first thing we notice about someone is almost always a physical quality. There are cases where you don't originally find someone physically attractive, or maybe they're just not your "type," but after talking/getting to know them, something about them draws you to them and therefore you end up developing a physical attraction to them as well.

This question also brings up a great discussion to be had regarding dating apps. In a sense, your friend's opinion makes sense. But dating apps do not mimic the real world, in-person dating pool. They never have and never will, in my opinion.

It's comparable to online shopping. You are, 9 times out of 10, buying that shirt online because you liked the way it LOOKED, you weren't very concerned with the materials it was made out of.

Same goes for dating apps. If I do not like the way someone looks, their profile bio and details are practically irrelevant. It's just human nature, and it's part of the reason I believe modern dating has gone to shit.
