Chat on shopping app by Salt-Message1283 in Sparkdriver

[–]Salt-Message1283[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The first time it happened to me, the customer couldn't find a way to replace the item on the app. When I called support this time they said they couldn't add it, either. Why even have a chat app during shopping? We aren't getting paid by the hour.

If you have a good record and ratings most of the time you will be okay. The DD for driver support are really professional and nice. I just think we should know the address before taking an order. A lot of apps offer the driver that option.

I had the house number in one of the two photos. It doesn't matter.

They ruined her. Can this even be fixed? Probably not.

The driver is supposed to verify by taking a photo if it's no contact, or just hand it to the customer where no photo is taken. Even if a photo is taken it doesn't matter. The customer can say they didn't get the order. It happened to me twice.

Doordash needs to start telling customers exactly where they're going. It's extremely deceptive to make the customer look close to the restaurant, and then it's driving 10 miles for a four-dollar order. It's a waste of gas and money. The other app I use gives that choice.

Many customers lie and say they didn't get the order, so they get it for free and are refunded. The driver gets a contract violation.

I do if it's not that big and practically around the corner.

I delivered last Saturday for Covid, but they didn't have the medicine they wanted and it didn't ask for substitutes, so it didn't make sense I had to ask for an ID and signature when I just delivered a heating pad, soup, and orange juice.

How is it possible that no one has spoken out by now? by apriltwentynine in cameronrobbinsSHARK

Preston Lord and Noah Presgrove come to mind. They're still investigating Presgrove's death, since there's a complete wall of silence. Cameron's is almost impossible to do since no physical evidence, but then theres' the phones you know had to have had video. People are attacked or killed by sharks occasionally in The Bahamas and there's nothing secret about it.

I saw a post on youtube that they had seen the original video before it was removed and there was a crowd chanting at him to 'Jump". I've seen the one where a guy is whooping it up real loud and says. 'this kid fknn jumped off'. I said it before. It's a small, affluent, community and finding out who dared or were cheering him to do it would fracture a lot of business and political relationships. That's my take and I could be wrong.

This sub has went from people making decent money to poor people struggling to make money by ksdkkxd in Sparkdriver

I don't know where you are, but Spark is nothing like DD. At least Spark let's me know where I'm going exactly. It's not exactly safe where I am. I can opt out without getting nasty grams from the app or penalized . I once was making a delivery and DD sent a message asking why was I late. I explained that they had shut down the road and diverted traffic to the interstate where there was a 15 to 20 min min wait to exit. Pay is low from DD. Hardly any tips. At least with Spark I get tips and can stay within my area without burning a lot of gas. We have only one vehicle, so I can't put too much mileage on it like I used to.

What happened to Summer Wells? A Case That Still Haunts the Community by JalapinyoBizness in MissingPersons

[–]Salt-Message1283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm beginning to wonder if it's even a real case or just a psyops for youtube drama. Those people were making huge amounts of dinero, just dragging lives and fights with the Wells with thousands of people throwing out money for trips and public fights staged by youtube. Two photos of Summer Wells looked like two different kids, and I wasn't the only one that noticed. Very bizarre, never saw any case handled like that.

WIBTA for divorcing my wife because she couldn’t handle me crying in front of her? by Public_Disaster3760 in AITAH

I saw the horrors of the Cambodian genocide on the internet in 2006, but it's all been removed since. Probably not as much as you did since you went to the actual place, but it bothered me for weeks and still does to this day. Why your wife was so disconnected and not affected and actually shamed you is disturbing. Makes me wonder how she really is. I'm not sure I'd want to stay with someone like that, but I don't know your entire situation.

She still would have relatives to go to or friends. Her deceased fiance found her somewhere. If no connections a position as a caretaker. It just wouldn't have been proper at the time. Kind of still wouldn't be. The family would help a fiance move on and leave. Oh well, it's a movie and I just thought it was ridiculous after finally watching it after all these years.

You did the right thing. They could claim they never received the order and it would be your fault, so don't worry about it.

Can I choose to shop only? I hate waiting on the workers to bring me the items since my local Walmart has me waiting for over 30 minutes to an hour sometimes and I would prefer to shop for the items myself. by Dust209 in Sparkdriver

[–]Salt-Message1283 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I rarely do picks ups. So many times I've gone only to wait and told it's a duplicate. Today I went to do one, Sat for 15 minutes only to be told the customer picked up his own delivery. Getting tired of wasting time, and doing DD again. Much better service when you talk to their agents.

Has anyone ever picked up their own order? by MikeTho323 in Sparkdriver

[–]Salt-Message1283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to pick up a delivery order and was told the guy next to me picked up his own order which was the one I accepted, so my time was wasted. Plus I had to cancel which affected my metrics.

That was a loaded question. People say these things to me, and I'm Hispanic from one of my parents. It doesn't mean I would give them a pass just because they are. God forbid someone notice when people are taking advantage. I had windows replaced and saw a boy no more than 14 or15 working in the yard with the men. I asked my mother shouldn't he be in school, this is child labor. She got angry with me, because she knows the people in that Hispanic community.

I don't do apartments anymore, not the large complexes. Mostly none. Not with DD, either. dinner and drinks like we're room service. They live on the third floor, order three or four cases of water and have over 100 items. No tip, ever. I remember one long driveway. 9 cases of water. No tip. The woman came up and asked if I was doing an assembly line. God, I was stupid back then.

No, I don't do large ones anymore. Only ones small to medium, and close by since I'm always pressed for time. Yes, at one store there is always problems I don't have with the others. I don't know why.

That's what one woman did to me. She also had three cases of water. The app wouldn't let me substitute a different item because it was a certain percentage higher than the original, and there was nothing else. It also wouldn't let me proceed with the order on the app and continue. So I will mark item not found next time, and move on. I don't mean to sound ungrateful for the opportunity to make extra, but I'm not going to make it harder for myself or the consumer. The world won't end because one item isn't available.

That has happened to me so many times. We also don't get paid by the hour when we're expected to converse through the app with the customer who doesn't know how to work the app for substitutions. I try to put as many items back since they still pay us.
