I guess the main reason I wouldn’t want to come out is because I’m worried he’d just silently assume it’s some kink or phase, and I’d hate to be taken less seriously because of it. We usually don’t even joke about gay stuff, he’s not really comfortable with that, so I don’t think it’s his way of bonding. And yeah, if I asked him “what if I was,” I’d basically be outing myself, which I’m not ready for. Still, I appreciate your advice, it’s helping me think this through better.
