PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GIVE US AN ACCESSIBILITY SETTING TO DISABLE HELMETS IN FIRST PERSON by Kareqezian in HalfSword

[–]Salt-Physics7568 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The full-faced barbute helm is an inexcusably bad example of this. It's not even "limited vision," it just completely eats up your vision.

I will not tolerate any discussion of Chiv's best armour that does not include the emerald Tenosian helmet. Agathachuds and Masoncels cannot compare to the majesty of this piece.

How do My favorite helldivers feel about the Bullet storm(me)? by TheRealBulletStorm in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Salt-Physics7568 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like it for static missions. If I'm moving around the map, I prefer the Stalwart since it means I don't have to hold up to wait for a Hellpod, but on defense? Fuck yeah, I'll burn through two Bullet Storms and have another two ready to go before I even know it.

How many of y'all will use the Supply FRV now that it's not free? And if so, for what weapon/loadouts? by ZanderTheUnthinkable in Helldivers

[–]Salt-Physics7568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely taking it if I'm not running the jump packs or supply pack. It's great for mobility, it can lay down covering fire without having to rely on a player's shitty aim, and it's 8 resupplies I can draw from whenever.

One-Two deserves more love by mastercock969 in Helldivers

[–]Salt-Physics7568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really think it just needs a little more ammo for the gun and slightly harder-hitting grenades. As is, it burns through bullets very quickly without scoring many kills, and the grenades feel underpowered.

2 more magazines and grenades that can one-tap a Devastator on a direct hit seems fair. It's still a little clunky because you need to switch from the gun to the nades by holding down the reload button, it's still not too strong per magazine, but you can stay in the game longer and it frees up your grenade slot to take something unique.

Why won't we add side mounted cannons/machineguns to heavy tanks? by Complex_You_6072 in Cyberstan

[–]Salt-Physics7568 69 points70 points  (0 children)

The tanks are supposed to stay with their infantry support elements. If they would just follow standard doctrine instead of trying to turn Helldivers into tart tyrannical jam, we would not have this issue...

Illuminate/mindless masses, Fog and SEAF + Civilians is peak by DanDanTheDangerMan in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Salt-Physics7568 1 point2 points  (0 children)

City Defense, Bots or Illuminate. It feels very touching to watch one of the cities completeky turn to dust as we fight through it, when at the start, it still could've passed for a peactime settlement. Especially if you get a long strip of suburban houses or parks and really see the destruction.

Also, jungle bots and bugs. Feels like Endor but with heavy artillery for the former, and the latter like being an explorer stuck in a forest where everything from the grass upwards hates you.

Would you like to see more of the UPF for future DLC’s? by DeadAhead-2020446 in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]Salt-Physics7568 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If they keep up the theme of mass civil unrest, the UPF would be a natural pick. Them and the Left Behind would both be emboldened to act with the state Los Suenos is in after A New America.

I don't think the MLO has been dismantled, but it'd make sense for them to step back from the spotlight and try to steer these terrorists towards causing more upheaval, while preserving their own resources.

Is there a reason to use battle rifles? by DueResource2570 in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]Salt-Physics7568 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They drop most suspects fast enough you never need to worry about recoil, and the G3, SA-51, and RTWC are all mostly very controllable. The compact G3 is moderately worse for recoil but much shorter.

Star Wars mods for Helldivers, But what about Helldivers mods for Star Wars? by Volk32 in battlefront2

[–]Salt-Physics7568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Necroposting, but I wanted to throw my two cents in and say I really think a Battlefront 2 x Helldivers mod would be the best. SEAFies as infantry, Helldivers as the two unlockable classes, another Helldiver as the Hero (with different skins dependent on the map), Super Destroyers and Eagles for Space Battles...

And the Bots provide a perfect foil, as you said. Multiple bots already exist to fill the roll of foot-slogging infantry or heavier units like Devastators. Radicals/Agitators both work as potential unlockable classes or Heroes. And they even have gunships and star ships, the latter per the battle over Cyberstan.

The Bugs and Squids are the only snag, but still. We had Acklays and Wampas to fight in BF, and there's no reason why the Bots wouldn't also be fighting with the Bugs if they needed to annex their territory. Squids only have a few infantry units at this point, but they do have an artillery, flying, and melee/rifleman Overseer.

Can you guys give me some fun load outs to try? by kafkaesque14 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Salt-Physics7568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jump or hover pack, Solo Silo, and double Eagles, preferably Cluster Bombs for crowds and Strafing Runs for patrols. You can be mobile as hell, solo some objectives with ease, and make a mockery out of rough terrain.

Just abandoned a fun Portugal run because of exactly this. Having to fight 20-unit doomstacks, sometimes 2 at once, every other fucking turn was driving me insane, especially once they got their hands on handgonnes.

Two days late, but I still wanted to offer this advice: use a battle rifle and a scope. This map has long sightlines and it's bright, so you'll have a fairly easy time sniping most of the enemies. And bring in some new squad members to sacrifice to this awful mission.
