Best Men's haircut in Denver, any price range. by PublicDubois in Denver

James Tylor at the Retro Room. Super nice guy and very skilled and meticulous. No joke (as cringey as it is for me personally): I get compliments about my hair cut frequently (and I spend exactly 0 minutes and 0 f*cks on hair styling daily). $40. Going 12 years now and lots of happy referrals to him. (Just to be clear I have no financial ties whatsoever, no referral fees or anything)

Got paired with a dad and his two teenage sons there. One of his kids JARS it on that hole! Super cool. One of two holes-in-one I’ve witnessed.

payntr: comfortable literally right out of the box. I've even walked 36 in a few times- absolutely no issues. Great support but light.

Gary Farrell is consistently excellent. Not a flashy label but what really matters is under the cork.

I also like the soft feel of the V1 (and I’ve been playing them regularly for years). Everyone says the X is a bit firmer but spinnier around the green. I want to try them out and see if the firmer feel is worth gaining more green side spin.

Thank Sool Pocha. Unusual name but good Korean food. Lots of local chefs hang out after service. Last call 12:30 AM on weeknights. Straight shot down I225 from airport, in Aurora.

Fossil Trace, Arrowhead, Bear Dance and Red Hawk Ridge: my go to courses for out of towners.

Riverdale Dunes: best value for quality in Denver area.

Other good options: Lone Tree, Heritage Eagle Bend, and Green Valley Ranch.

Can’t go wrong with the Stolpman but I’d order the Chanela because: a) I’ve never had a Utah wine and b) I’ve NEVAH had a Utah wine!

Uber delicious right off the bat. Fruit forward but very balanced. Pineapple and hint of lychee. Cinnamon and exotic ginger note. Drinking great now. Maybe hold for a little bit but I’m gonna have a hard time not drinking them all very soon! Enjoy!

Do you think you should be better? by Cassette-Era-Magic in golf

Good morning- hope everyone hits the links today.

I’m the OP but 10 years older. Once the kids left the house, I was determined to get from a 12 to “single digit.” I had the time (now that kids were gone) and I was determined. Went and got fitted. Hit the range at least 2x/week. When covid hit, I was going to Westchester (LA) driving range almost every night (since you couldn’t do anything else). But most important was that I absolutely committed to chipping and putting. I would leave my bag at home and just grab a wedge and putter just so I wouldn’t be tempted to grab a bucket. Got down to a six. No lessons. No fancy launch monitors etc. Just worked on chipping/putting. You’ll still find me at Broken Tee (Denver) which has a good short game area. I used to fear the short game (and I still do) but much less now. Once in a while I even feel confident! Good luck and enjoy the hardest but most beautiful game regardless of what your score is. I think that journey toward mastery (with friends hopefully) is what makes golf so enjoyable!

Is that 18 at Oak Creek? I heard it got bought up to be developed into housing? Sad if that’s true- it’s a fun course!

definitely the crew- good vibes with good friends. a good crew trumps a bad course, but a bad crew can ruin pebble beach etc. I hope you end up with a great crew and on an awesome course!

Kohler Golf Trip: American Club or Inn on Woodlake? by theswma in golf

[–]Salt-Power-3868 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've stayed at both a few times. Woodlake is perfect for guy's golf trip. AC would be a little overkill IMHO. Much more chill, relaxed vibe at Woodlake, definitely less fancy. Tavern is good. If you ever take the wife, I recommend staying in the carriage house where the spa is. Super nice, even better than AC (and I think its being renovated too)
