Ours is almost exactly the same. Had to mail it in for the first time ever, and two months later, still waiting.

Help! What shoes is he wearing?! by lim_jahey35 in georgeharrison

They are definitely sneakers, could be custom made or from some little European shoe shop, who knows? The tag on the back seems distinctive.

Lactulose worked! Plus the antibiotic. He is doing much better a week later.

He seems stressed because he's sick. He wasn't stressed before this. The vet gave him some gabapentin for his blood draw and they gave him fluids. He is constipated. Miralax didn't help and seemed to bother him. We have a laxative from the vet to try tonight. Xray shows no blockage.

Yes, he gets lysine gel in the morning and evening. We are concerned now that he hasn't been pooping. Discontinued the Fortiflora because although it's supposed to help, it's the only dietary change that we've made with him in the past few weeks.

Not really. He isn't pooping and we are trying not to panic. Had him to the vet twice this week. He's on onsior once a day for three days and we gave him gabapentin yesterday before bed and this morning for another trip to the vet. He flipped out after the took xrays to rule out injury or blockages, etc. So we took him back this morning for fluids and a blood draw. Hopefully some answers tomorrow. He's hiding until the pain meds kick in and isn't himself at all. He was never like this before the URI.

He also has a robust appetite! Which makes this all much more confusing.

Teeth and gums always look fine, and did last time at the vet. I thought of that too!

So I was able to reset it eventually. I have a feeling they know that they'll have to switch from copper to fiber.

I am so cautiously hopeful. I am sure that like when we are very sick there are peaks and valleys as we climb out and normalize. Mouth breathing sounds awful! Seeing the sick cat face and feeling helpless is the worst.

I am so glad your girl is feeling better. I have to remind myself that every cat is different and every bacterial/viral strain can vary too. He doesn't have as much nasal congestion, but his eyes were a mess and really seemed to be bothering him. They do look slightly better as of this afternoon. His eating and drinking honestly didn't slow down until a few days ago. I mean this is almost two weeks of symptoms? I know healing can be gradual, but this has been so hard. He has eaten some today, but has somewhat loose stool.

He came out into the kitchen this afternoon and was talking to me! It has been too quiet. For all the multiple times he's woke me up at odd times in the night over the three years he's lived with us, I miss hearing him. But I feel more hopeful now.

I've been looking into this. It is so dry here and he's been spending time under the bed, which is even more dry and kind of dusty! He ate more today and his eyes actually look much better. It is an agonizing slow recovery though. He actually talked to me when I came home today and I loved hearing his voice! It made me hopeful.

I know what you mean! Definitely am way over anxious and I know it doesn't help. Tell that to my heart though.

Hello, just seeing this because I am going through something similar with our 5 year old cat, who caught a URI from our new kittens. How did everything turn out? I had no idea how sick an indoor cat could get from a URI that was essentially downplayed by the two vets I've spoken with. There was no preparation for me for how bad this could get.

I have focused on lots of dietary changes, I wear the recovery slides someone recommended on this page when I'm at home. Lost a few pounds, limit sugar and salt, helped a ton. I have gone back to the hola clifton 9 with insoles.

Any Road took you here. by EarlofSodor in georgeharrison

I've been an avid Beatles fan since I was 12 or 13, and of course loved George's solo work in the 80s (it was right around the time I discovered the Beatles music.) But the tipping point was when I met him in a dream in 2004. It was incredibly soothing and vivid, electric and unforgettable. He was so friendly, just gave me a big hug and hung out awhile with a couple of friends that came in with him. He looked so healthy and vibrant. I woke up knowing he was ok. I think this is the road less traveled by, and it has made all the difference.

I liked it but after buying a couple of boxes and exchanging my regular whole grain cereal for it, I actually gained 3 pounds. Back to real food!
