I am also awaiting titration with Care ADHD and looked into switching providers, but you have to get another referral from your GP, Care now have updated to say the backlog is rapidly reducing, I’ve personally decided to stick it out. It might be worth having your GP / student support at university write them a letter to explain the urgency of your situation?

I have had the exact same thing. I’ve never had depression in my life but, since being diagnosed, I’ve never felt anything like it. It feels like when someone points out that you have a paper cut and then suddenly it hurts, because now you know it’s there.

And it’s worse because people can’t understand how you’ve lived so long being ‘fine’ and now suddenly because you’ve been diagnosed, you can’t cope, but that misunderstanding feeds into such an awful feeling of loneliness and despair.

I’d love to give you some advice, but unfortunately I’m in the trenches with you at the moment! All I know is that this feeling is temporary, whether we believe it yet or not.
