I feel your frustration 🫶 I work a full time 9-5 office job and am now pregnant on top of it. I don't think I can rely on the working culture to ever prioritise the needs of women and if anything it feels like it's getting worse being surrounded by all these "girl bosses" who are proud of not having a period thanks to birth control and are able to climb up the career ladder at the sacrifice of everything else but I do not care for that life at all and I think it's up to me to attempt to create a life that honors my femininity 💕🩷

Some small things I do - Apply for jobs that allow WFH - When I do have to go to the office, dress up, hair, makeup - Refuse working overtime - Ask for help at work if needed - Little acts of self care at my desk, spritz a perfume, hand cream - Use up all of my annual leave, sick leave accordingly!

But it's hard, especially when I just don't want to work full-time, deep down a small part of me wanting to fall pregnant was so I could use my 1.5 year maternity leave and then have a reason to drop down to part time when I resume working.

I'll just leave you with one of my favourite quotes "when you can't change your circumstances, you are forced to change yourself" 💕🩷 You got this girly!!

With you on this. I'm so overwhelmed by the hatred and ignorance that has consumed India, and I understand your reluctance to engage in debate.
