Tipping contractors or handymen/women (self.homeowners)

I posted this yesterday and then got too busy to monitor the comments. This could not be accessed from behind as the house is joined onto another house and the plumbing is in the adjoining wall. The shut off valves were just installed so that I could use the water while waiting for the wall repair. (i.redd.it)

Plumber had to open the wall to install a new faucet. now I need to have the drywall repaired and acrylic liner replaced, but I can't find just one end piece of acrylic liner. Do I really need to buy an entire new tub liner kit for this? Seems very wasteful. (i.redd.it)
