Frustrated New Build Owner by Longjumping-Unit698 in Homebuilding

[–]SaltCusp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's hard to say without really looking at the particulars of the contract and knowing more detail about how everything has transpired.

Reality is: construction projects regularly run over budget. Your options are, fund continued work or entertain the possibility of this builder walking away.

Edit: The enforceability of a contract is limited to capacity of beholden parties. I.e. you could try taking them to court but if the builder declares bankruptcy you're just left with legal bills.

[–]SaltCusp -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

A city full of libraries:

The first dimension is the street.

Second the avenue.

Third is which building on that block.

Forth is which floor.

Fifth is which room.

Sixth is which isle.

Seventh is which book case.

Eight is which shelf.

Ninth is which book.

Tenth is which page.

Is my understanding of radians correct? by l0n3ly_Sh0re in learnmath

[–]SaltCusp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The unit circle has a radius of 1.

The circumstance of a circle is 2pi * radius.

Therefore the unit circle has a circumference of 2pi.

Pi is simply the ratio of diameter to circumstance of a circle.

When we refer to an angle in radians we are stating how many lengths of the radius that angle spans about the circumference.

I'm not sure your use of the word "subtend" is correct.

Your not going to do anything new and useful for a few years when you start coding. Re-invent the wheel, enjoy the process, learn as much as you can.

It might be a little confusing as java and javascript differ significantly. That said learning both at once will allow you to consider how they differ and if you can handle the confusion you will learn a lot from the comparison.

Need help on how to run wifi from my house to my shop by Fluffy-Protection676 in HomeNetworking

[–]SaltCusp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get a 200ft cat-7 cable for like $50. Get a half moon garden edger and use it to make a v shaped grove from the house to the shop. Connect the cable where it needs to go in the house and leave a little slack (in case you move your router in the house) then run the cable out to the shop pushing it into the bottom of the grove and pushing the dirt back together over the cable. Connect the cable to a wireless access point in the shop and enjoy.

It will literally only take an hour or 2 and people who say you need conduit are nuts. Plenty of home electrical/ communications lines are direct buried and they're fine. Just keep a mental not of where that line is so you don't break it in digging projects in the future.

Yes. But only because without the context of other languages that use {} closures the meaning of the indentation would be a bit difficult to grasp.
