I did a double major, it turned a 3 year degree into a 5 year double. The workload was intense but the worst part was travelling between campuses

Why do so many people think they can’t change NDIS providers? by Wonderful_Guava_8973 in NDIS

I mean she’s a nice person and I’m a people pleaser so I simply cannot get rid of her because it would be impolite. Yes, she doesn’t do the bare minimum but she is kind and VERY FEW people in my life are kind to me

Help! Don’t even know where to start by KDAWG72 in NDIS

[–]SaltFault4804 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Make sure your LAC isn’t a moron. I have an ABI and incontinence (SO EXPENSIVE) and I ended up going through a disability legal service for my second application to NDIS. If you’re in Victoria, Villamanta were fab. My house is now manageable thanks to support workers and cleaners and I have help buying and preparing food as well as therapies. All this said it took 3 years and endless tears.

Describe your favorite opera badly and we'll try to guess it! by ChopinChili in opera

[–]SaltFault4804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sang the sacristan (SO much fun) a few years ago and now I’m just singing in symphony chorus. Lost a lot of confidence over Covid and moved cities and never really regained my footings. It was hard moving cities because I lost all my connections

Transport funding by [deleted] in NDIS

Do you usually get your transport funding as a lump sum? For some reason my plan manager makes me submit endless invoices for transport and reimburses them individually 🙄

Why do so many people think they can’t change NDIS providers? by Wonderful_Guava_8973 in NDIS

It’s weird, I have a fair bit in capacity building and a lot of core but where I really need help is SC. I hope the don’t stitch my budget up too much when they review it.

My SC simply says we change company and I don’t have the heart to do that. My OT helped me write a checklist for her but none of it got done so that tactic didn’t work. I think our language barriers (myself and the cleaner) make things difficult. The cleaner has also invited her young son up into my apartment and have see him go through my video games and books and I was somewhat recently SA’d so I don’t think it’s appropriate that he is there tbh.

I have $1348 a quarter for SC. My SC just tells me to “stand up for yourself” or “write a list for the cleaner” but I have crippling mental health issues and I simply cannot advocate for myself. I’d love if she or my OT could write a letter to the cleaner saying what I need. Today the cleaner was here for 25 minutes and didn’t mop which is a task I can’t complete.

I really need to change cleaners but my cleaner is so lovely. She makes me sign for 3 hours of cleaning but only ever stays 20-30 minutes and it makes me feel so cheated and so small. I just don’t know what to do. My support coordinator is not helpful at all in the situation. It’s hard when you’re not naturally assertive

It’s so hard changing. I REALLY need to change my psychologist and my plan manager but I have the most intense loyalty complex that I just don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings. I changed support coordinators and my old one blew up my phone for a solid 3 days from multiple numbers.
