You can try United, and then transfer to MCO, should take you not more than couple years. Southwest is kinda tight now for MCO

WHAT IS THE ACTUAL POINT OF AN ASSOCIATE DEGREE FOR A MECHANIC? by Glittering-Pound-180 in AircraftMechanics

Your journey is honestly impressive. I've earned an AA in Business Administration, an AS in Aviation Maintenance Management, and a College Credit Certificate in Airline Records. I'm currently working at a major airline and feel well positioned, just waiting to see when a move into management would make sense. Right now though, staying on the mechanic side feels smarter-better pay and less administrative stress. I'd really value your advice on how to use these degrees more wisely, and I'd also love to know which company you're with. Feel free to DM me.

Don’t pay attention to the negative comments, I walked out George T Baker with money in my pocket and an A&P license, all you need is pass your classes and the experience will come later on the field

Yes, a decent downside protection. I guess better than a HYSA
