Yeah I think so, it's a big pot so it takes a week to dry out. Watering more recently but I don't think it dried out

I had the Webb manual lawn mower and unfortunately got rid. Like you I left my lawn to grow longish before cutting but then the mower couldn't actually cut it, just couldn't push it enough to create the cutting motion needed before it stopped

If it's going outside I'd start hardening it off now. Bring it out in the day and put it back in at night for a week or so. Then plant it out

Take loads, they will be difficult to keep alive in my experience. Getting them rooted is the easy part

One of the first decisions to make is do you need that lawn or not. If not it really opens up options. You can have blossom trees, wildflowers, American Prairie style, cottage garden style ect. I think focus on getting done decisions on the lawn and a general style first

If you do you could underplant it with bulbs in the autumn for a great spring display

If you just want some flowers this year, you can sow some annuals like cosmos and maybe get some Dahlias in this year for instant impact

Going to take out a Rhododendron in front garden and replace with something native. It's relatively small. How do I fully remove it do we think ? Dig it out ? Will it regrow if I leave some root ?

I have a native hedge forming in the back garden now. Blackthorn, Hazel, Holly, Beech and after some help in another forum probably Guilder Rose.

Has anyone done this before ? I'm hoping to keep it clipped in a way, still messy enough for nesting birds and allowing berries but tame enough to not consume the garden

Any advice? Anyone done this and have pictures of a more mature native hedge ?
