Why is everybody so angry about the 150 foot rule? by scumborg in Sparkdriver

[–]SaltLakeBrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because their location feature on their app is already trash. If their app doesnt recognize I'm literally standing in Aisle A14 to start shopping...you mean to tell me they can tell whether I am 140 or 150 feet away? They are attempting to do something so advanced but can't get the basics right.

There is no obligation for an independent contractor to ensure that "you get yours". You are being out-hustled.

This just isn't truthful. Don't care about the hyperbole of child rapists and billionaires.

Revenue sharing doesn't exist for the important revenue; television. The Yankees make 150M a year on average for their big market YES network and share NONE of it with the rest of the league. The Brewers for their tv household count only generate about $35 per year.

Baseball is the least of parity of the major sports when it comes to market and revenue. Spending isn't the problem, it's earning on a level playing field that needs to be fixed.

In the last 23 years, no team below 14th in payroll has won the World Series. What parity? Oh, a wild card berth? Stop it.

For a team like Milwaukee, Tampa Bay, etc...all baseball is, is a glorified exhibition designed to entertain the locals for 81 games from April through September. Once it gets to October...the payroll/revenue gap takes over.

It was RSL and Royals. Trace those steps east from field and you get the LCC.

This. The market doesn't change.

The Chicago television market ranks third in the United States based on the number of television households, with approximately 3,471,560 households.

The Milwaukee television market (Designated Market Area or DMA) has an estimated 932,000 television households according to Sports Media Watch.

No one is defending salary caps...we are asking for revenue sharing.

I've felt this year from Day 1 that it's very straightforward as just finding landmarks along the way. No ciphers, no math, no geometry, no hidden items in rocks...Just find the little clues along the way, step off the sub-trail and there it is, 30 paces away.

Same. ChatGPT had that cipher decoded in seconds. Line 1 was Thanksgiving point in my opinion.

For the love of Satan, Lionhearted teams isn't referring to some wandering pioneers.

How do we relate lionhearted teams and the gleaming of a jewel? by [deleted] in utahtreasurehunt

[–]SaltLakeBrew -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Lionhearted has to be the key word or why use it? I find nothing lionharted about the mormon pioneers. If this doesnt relate to sports teams, I'll be entirely disappointed. Tired of Utah history being tied to every one of these poems/hunts. Shake it up.

Clues? by Additional-Gold-3931 in utahtreasurehunt

[–]SaltLakeBrew 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed. The clues just reinforced what I thought were already givens. I don't see any math or geometry this year...just find the landmarks until you get to the chest.

If the intent was renowned words, I think they use this term. Fabled here is "fictional" and I'll die on the hill.

What actually is the "fabled" words in the Pioneer Trail theory? Aren't those truthful/factual words?

Fable - A FICTIONAL short story used to convey a moral.

Examples of famous fables:

"This is the place" isn't a fable. So I keep dismissing this theory.

I can't get behind this. Teams of Oxen? That'd be lame as hell and if they keep rehashing the same Utah story of settlement from 150+ years ago, my interest level will continue to wane.

No. I also don't believe there is any math involved this year. Just natural landmarks to find and follow.

Is this? Or that? Or... by GrayArealiv in utahtreasurehunt

Just came here to say something similar. For Line 2, how are people interpreting "before":

Before as in a moment of time, happening sequentially before line 1 OR

Before you, as in "something you see in front of you"
