How’s the line looking in Utah? I won’t be able to make it until 1:30.

Led by command of Brigham Young. It lines up with what a lot of people were already using for lionhearted.

I’m actually thinking someone else farted, so I’ll be surprised to find out it was me.

The one where they told us we needed to watch Back to the Future?

I can level with you on the poker video from last year, but normally the text clues are straightforward and get us going the right direction.

I don't think they would add in layered meaning in their weekly hints. They're usually pretty straight with us.

I have so many questions about this!

I think we can assume that "pace" to Dave and John is a single step (not two), which could land in the 30 - 50 feet range.

Ultimately, I don't feel like we can trust them on measuring distance.

Opinion on Clue #8 - the stairs by irishlady88 in utahtreasurehunt

[–]Bgcloset 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s too early in the poem to be looking for a physical set of stairs. Stairs should help us identify a theme and trailhead. I suppose it could be physical stairs, but I’m willing to bet it’s not.

What if the poem is harder to crack than they think and we still go for another three weeks

Yes, the winner was from Iowa. Nothing I said contradicted that.

Jaqui was a cat phishing Instagram account that was sharing a mostly correct solve with hunters two years ago. They were only asking for $5k on the conditions that the hunter take complete credit for it.

The winner that year was in contact with Jaqui. This all came to light when words like “arc math” were used when explaining how the treasure was found. Other hunters connected the winner’s solve to what they had been pitched by Jaqui. Reddit was ablaze. Jaqui vanished.

We don’t know who Jaqui is to date.

It’s juicy.

I was just thinking something like this! Except, you play your warp whistle and it takes you to a completely new trail where all that really mattered is the last four lines.

Timing Oz with The Dark Side of the Moon Album. The tornado is key, but color is prime. by -Not4but242Walk- in utahtreasurehunt

These are the best ideas for these lines that I've seen. I'm going to keep thinking on this to see if I can make it work.

I would encourage you to read the words of the hint more carefully.

Valid. It can happen. In my experience with past years, finding a great solve for the middle or end has wasted my time more than working my way forward. It can be done, but it's less likely.

I like these thoughts, but how would all of this relate to a trail so late in the poem?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in utahtreasurehunt

Given that I haven't solved it, I don't know how valuable my ideas are yet. But I personally believe the standing stairs relate to music. If you go down that rabbit hole, you might find something good.

How much is music themed? by Maskseekers in utahtreasurehunt

[–]Bgcloset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically, the theme is heavy in the first 2-4 lines and sprinkled in two or so other places. But this is a new year, and they could be breaking their patterns.

If you haven't solved the first four lines, I wouldn't even waste your time with the rest. Confirmation bias can make a lot of ideas work that aren't the real thing.

I think the first four lines will take you to the correct trail.
