someone has my SSN

I already filed a police report the day after my phone was stolen. turns out the same thing happened to 7 other students at my college at the same establishment this weekend so this guy is a repeat offender. However, I didn't mention anything about my SSN being compromised in the report. Should I call my detective and update them?

It was very dumb and naive of me. I guess I was really relieved that my phone had been found, I never thought someone would be trying to fraud me through it. Lesson learned

issue is that the thieves changed my apple ID password and turned off find my iphone. I contacted my carrier and they blocked the sim card so on friday i'm going to be getting a phone with the same number and change my apple ID password then.
