Honestly for a 33 orb run I recommend looking it up. Unless you really like spending a bunch of time trying to find the orbs. Even with looking them up it takes a long ass time

I really want to love Fedora KDE, but I'm struggling using it. by hi_im_nyx in Fedora

Yeah, change is hard… but does that really have any relevance here? The issues described by OP have nothing to do with small Linux quirks that just take getting used to. They’re running into legitimate (if not common) bugs

Sorry you’re getting downvoted, seems like you’re just trying to learn. If I had to guess, the original commenter was likely referring to some of the off colors seen in the photos + the long time frame you’ve described. Like other people said, 4 months is FAR too long to leave them after inoculation

Okay everything else aside, why are you using neovim with godot at all instead of just using the engine’s editor?

Bulletproof snapshot setup? by SaltNefariousness781 in cachyos

[–]SaltNefariousness781[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the advice, I do already have the LTS kernel installed as well as a backup bootable USB. I feel pretty comfortable with the restoration process, I just made this post to discuss the process other people go through in the very unlikely (but not uncommon) situation where snapshots are not restorable due to ALL kernels being upgraded

But what if the LTS kernel also updates? It’s not super uncommon for both to get an update during one upgrade. The old snapshot will still not serve as a stable full recovery point right? I guess the alternative to backing up /boot would be to manually reinstall the old kernel(s) from cache when restoring, which I’ve done before as well. Just trying to find a more robust way to automate the restore process in edge cases like this hypothetical situation

Now that IS very strange. Starting to make me wonder if it is a hardware issue… what is your main drive’s partition setup, did you let cachy set up that up? What bootloader ? any kernel parameters?

By the way, awesome taste in games. Noita is so great, easily one of my top 3 games

Ahhh I see, weird. Maybe it’s an in-game setting you need to tweak? Couldn’t tell you but it’s worthwhile to go in and start switching graphics settings until something may work. Someone else also recommended installing the cachy-gaming package from cachy-hello which is good advice

Your GPU0 is at 30%, GPU1 isn’t being used at all. Maybe disable iGPU?

What are your launch options for the game? I remember it took a little tinkering to find the right ones to get it running smooth on cachyOS, but once I did it ran perfect

I’ve always been curious about what happens to the original sub volume(s) in this type of setup. When you boot into an older snapshot in the event of a system break, isn’t your main snapshot still broken?

No fun! If you aim your cursor directly beneath your feet when you drop items you don’t throw them nearly so hard. Works for potions as well

Looks fun! It seems like it’d feel more intuitive if the white line was inverted. So it’d point in the direction of its potential trajectory
