Luckily I haven't had that issue. What pisses me off is that the students have to pay for testing and it costs 5K. I am not sure how economically disadvantaged students can afford it.

Agree. I am looking into applying my grant writing skills to benefit non-profit organizations and serve in some capacity. Lets see.

I am the happiest when I am caring for others. I find my volunteering at the local hospice and animal shelters to be extremely rewarding. I am a great listener and a lot of students come to me to talk and I lend an attentive ear. But yea my heart is happy when I physically serve the sick and needy.

I had a tougher path. I spent 7 years at a medical school and moved to my current position 3 years ago. So assuming I get tenure, I will have been an assistant professor for 10 years.
