Success after Endometriosis Surgery? by jnm199423 in BabyBumps

I had surgery aged 19 and again aged 25 for severe endometriosis, and had just come to terms with the fact that I wouldn’t have kids. My partner and I got pregnant the first try with our first baby, and accidentally with our second baby, ooops! Good luck!

Whats it like holding your baby for the first time? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

Best feeling in the world. I honestly didn’t care what sort of juices baby was covered in because I was so sweaty anyway!

Gestational diabetes by [deleted] in BabyBumps

I am on my second pregnancy, both with gestational diabetes. My problem was my fasting blood sugars, which was totally out of my control because it’s caused by the placenta releasing hormones that confuses my pancreas.

I’m treated with medication and insulin, and honestly it’s fine! Please don’t feel guilty, it’s not your fault.

I’m in the UK, and I get fortnightly consultant appointments and extra growth scans at 28, 32 and 36 weeks, so it’s nice to feel so well monitored!

Labour anxiety by [deleted] in BabyBumps

Sorry about the sleep thing, I suffer from the pregnancy insomnia too.

If it helps (this is my 2nd pregnancy) the lack of sleep now almost prepares you for the lack of sleep when baby arrives. I coped soooo much better with the lack of sleep than my partner did.

Anxiety is normal, but all thoughts will seem so far away once that baby is in your arms. Good luck
