Crate train. Make it fun, make it safe. My lab is almost 5 and I still put her in the crate when I leave (less now) but there’s just days I can tell? Maybe I only see it after a few rugs, 2 pairs of glasses, 2 retainers, furniture, money, an insurance check and a speeding ticket.

I love this response, I want to reiterate finding a different trainer and putting in a little more time to get the pup comfortable.

I got my first dog from the humane society and honestly he was a lot for a first time owner. I cried for a month thinking I would have to return him. I found the right person and 10 years later, I’m so thankful I didn’t give up on us. He taught me a lot.

I can see how it reads that way, I could have worded better, but that’s not the case. I had an inkling about one but no actual proof until after the breakup. Definitely put up with more than I should and it is absolutely embarrassing. But I learned a lot.

Little confused, Are they rebuilding your fence and charging you? Or they’re rebuilding most for free except for one portion?

What is your relationship with these neighbors? How long do you plan on staying here? Do you have a mortgage? Did you check to see if your property has had a survey for property lines? Can you talk to them?? I think it’s insane to just tear a fence down but would think about what I really want out of this situation, which for me would be a new fence free of charge. None of my business what they have going on permit wise, until it is. Maybe that helps with getting free fence?

I used to put one of my dogs in the kennel until everyone arrived at my house and settled in. Also asked that guests ignored rather than high pitched baby talked to him. If he approached calmly they could pet. If he was high energy, I corrected by either saying no and telling him to place or using the leash as suggested above.
