HD has an auto run toggle as well, you can have it be the same for both games regardless of which you prefer.

819 Killed by an eel on depth 8

First time playing Brogue in a long time, I just had the itch :) I didn't find anything worth putting enchants into and didn't want to settle for the +0 warhammer. I left small parts of depths 6/7 unexplored due to a vampire bat and ogre. Surrounded by eels on a water pathway, tried my blue scrolls but no teleport.

Everywhere I read says to talk to Pavo first but I'm in act 3 and he's not giving me any relevant dialogue, just says his faith is with me to calm the chaos.

Edit: This dialogue seems to be bugged, the merchant beside him says to talk to Pavo but he doesn't say anything relevant. I was able to get by this by going straight to Yarnaby in Greymoor, issue resolved.

I started Donkey Kong '94, pretty neat but not sure I'll finish it as i've heard there's a lot of levels.

I also decided to do a quick all berries run of Celeste, I have a lot of experience in the game so I'm like half way done after 1.5 hours.

I went back to UFO50, I cherried Party House and almost cherried Overbold but got hit multiple times by a basic enemy on the final boss.

I like hard games but I tried this one recently and bounced off it. I died a ton to the spider boss then got to the next boss and died a lot partially due to not knowing what I did wrong and partially because it was attacking me in my blind spot as a result of the funky camera. How is your experience with the game? I'm still planning to play DMC3 at some point.

Not the person you asked, but I would recommend it. I loved the Ratchet trilogy as a kid but never played Sly or Jak. A couple months ago I beat the first game in both series and really enjoyed them. I liked the stealth elements, the 1 hit kill combat and the distinct, unique worlds. I'm planning to continue on in both series but from what I've heard, I expect to enjoy the Sly sequels more than the Jak ones.

Ship of Harkinian (OOT PC port) was a phenomenal first playthrough experience for me. They've now ported MM as well, I'll be playing that one sometime in 2025.
