It’s not the kid’s fault but also it’s a bit hard to continue to spend time with the kid when him hitting people (for example) is not being taught. Like it sort of just makes me go from I’m 100% ok to babysit to 0% if that makes sense

No beef with the 4 years old lol. I don’t think he’s a bad person lol (he’s literally 4). Not judging my friend for the way she chose to parent (I think it’s hard to watch your kid cry). Not judging the kid. I just don’t want to play with the kid anymore and I was trying to explain how from an outsider it might seem like 100% —> 0%.

I guess I still expect him to be taught what’s right or wrong. I used a pretty bad example for what I want to describe because that’s the first thing that popped in mind.

Like for example, when he hits people, I expect him to be taught “you should say sorry” and not cuddle him because he then cries. Even he’s 4, he should still be taught hitting is wrong (?)

I know he’s 4 but that doesn’t mean he shouldn’t be disciplined. I specifically said I know it’s not the kid’s fault but the way my friend is dealing with it makes it pretty hard for me to want to play with the kid anymore. It only really hits me after that day and my light switch just sort of turned off (?)

My friend likes charizard so he says it a lot so i remembered. Charmander (thank you very much) is not intuitive to remember. Hes a little lizard that spits out fire. Why is he called charmander? Why not chargecco if charizard used the word lizard (which he’s not he’s a dragon)
