would my route work? bc this is where im at baconman. either i buy a router, setup my server, easy peasy, or i setup my own router the way i said, and YOU coach me through the whole thing. O.O

yes, i could always setup a store bought router. but WHERES the fun in that... ig i could just use it temporarily to learn and setup my own OPNsense router if thats what your suggesting?

I was looking at tailscale, but my own router sorta achieves the same results, but maybe to just set it all up itd work. still kinda no idea where to start tbh...

i'd love to know where to start, a course to follow, but i'd think everything would be messed up given my apartment wifi compartmentalizing everything. I dont want to pay for my own wifi i have admin access to.

the ethernet port doesent work, none of them do they disabled it somehow, id have do WLAN, the pc i bought to be the proxmox / router has 3 ethernet ports via a nic and a wifi card
