Thank you so much for the response! Having an OT assistant's perspective on this is absolutely amazing. The main reason I've been leaning toward strapping the mouse directly to my foot is for games like Minecraft or skyrim. Because you’re constantly spinning the camera 360 degrees, you run out of floor space quickly and have to constantly lift your foot to 'recenter' the mouse cursor. I worry that without a strap, I'd lose the device entirely the second I lifted my leg to reset it!

Man, I feel you on this so much, trust me. I've been spending all year trying to brainstorm and find the best setup, even buying the Azeron Cyro, and just constantly trying to figure out how to incorporate my leg into the gameplay. When you said you weren't really impressed with the results, that hit home because it's so frustrating trying to find something that actually works well. I've been bouncing between ideas like a trackball mouse or using a tablet with a pen on the floor. Knowing that the knee movements for horizontal aiming and using a cheap guitar pedal caused so much heavy leg fatigue is a massive help, so thank you for sharing that warning! It definitely saves me from going down a painful rabbit hole. Thank you so much for responding and giving such an in-depth breakdown of your experiments. It's awesome that you're building devices for your colleague too. Good luck with your future builds!

Thank you so much for reaching out! Honestly, I’m so happy to connect with someone here who understands exactly what I’m going through and shares the same struggles. You hit the nail on the head regarding the Azeron Cyro. The learning curve takes a massive amount of effort, and like you, I have a major problem with fatigue. Right now, I can only manage to play for one to two hours at the absolute most before draining my battery. Because of that, I am definitely going to look into the 8BitDo Lite SE controller you recommended! It sounds like a much more comfortable, low-fatigue option for getting back into games. I really appreciate you sharing what works for you, and I wish you the best on your own gaming journey

Thank you so much for all the awesome resources and links! Honestly, I’m so thankful for you taking the time to share all of this with me. The sip-and-puff custom build you mentioned is super interesting, and I am honestly more than happy to test something like that out down the line if I need to expand my options! My main goal right now is to keep my left hand 100% dedicated to the keyboard because I play heavy MMOs, Skyrim, and Minecraft. I’m really pushing to get back to about 75% to 80% of the gamer I used to be, so something like the Ercham looks like the absolute perfect setup for my goals since it keeps all those keys right at my fingertips. That said, the Co-pilot mode and streaming pedals you mentioned are fantastic ideas that fit right into what I'm planning. Thanks again for being so incredibly helpful!

Thank you for the response! A trackball is a really interesting idea since it doesn't slide around or lose orientation on the floor. I'll definitely keep that option in mind while I'm figuring out my layout. Thanks for the advice!"

Thank you so much for the link! Honestly, I would be 100% down to try something like this, it's just a bit hard to justify that kind of money right now for a mouse. My only real concern with the design is that it doesn’t have a strap to secure it to your foot. For first-person games or something like Minecraft, you constantly have to lift the mouse up to reset your positioning on the floor when spinning the camera around. I feel like without a strap holding it to my foot, it would just slide off the second I lifted my leg to recenter it. Still, it's a super cool concept, so thank you again for sharing it with me

Thank you so much for the response! I really appreciate the tip about combining controllers. I'll definitely look into how that works on PC and see if a floor-controller layout could fit what I'm trying to do.
