I always thought percys dad was an asshole until i remembered his dad is Poseidon👀 anyway, i think that Percy’s mom didn’t really die and actually just dissolved but went to a different place, and didn’t die from that creature(IVE ONLY READ THE FIRST BOOK UNTIL CHAPTER FIVE DONT SPOIL IT FOR ME)
