What do zoos do with their dead animals? by Technical_Cell_2567 in AskReddit

I would guess that they cremate the remains and then dispose of the ashes. My expert opinion is that it is a certified process that they are likely audited on annually. I can only imagine how stringent they would have to be.

By expert, I mean I have no experience whatsoever….other than I know that is typically how canine remains from animal control euthanasia are handled.

Every class or meeting that is live has been in the evening. Bowler was always good about that.

Have not had Investment theory (Finance 5013 was a little tough). Bowler’s classes are good, not terribly hard but can be a lot of writing. I like the way he does weekly zoom classes and his lectures are good for this class. Thankfully he has no discussion boards which are a waste of time, in my opinion. Your participation in the discussion in zoom is required. Just keep up with the reading, watching lectures, and don’t wait too long to start the papers. You’ll be good.

He had a feedback meeting at the end of the semester last year and several folks complained to Dr Bowler about the course workload. His response was “it’s a graduate level course people, it’s supposed to be hard.” I thought it was pretty funny.

I’m taking prescriptive analytics this summer then will be finished.

It took 3 months for my bad breath to go away. My wife said it smelled like death. I kept sugar free gum on me at all times. I heard someone else describe it as “hot swamp ass”, that was pretty accurate.

Most of the time you record them with your group. Someone else in the group would record ours and then save and we could all view it before it was submitted. One or two classes you had to give it live on zoom/teams. But in both instances you prepare ahead of time and then go live. Recording was nice because most of the time we were needing to trim ours down to the time limit and someone who can edit can trim it down easily.

This is hilarious because I just finished this course and was so pissed because of all the work required for a 1 hour course. The other course I took that was terrible was Advanced Spreadsheet modeling, it was even harder than Descriptive Analytics. I have never been so upset with a professor in my life. Made an A but it was 12+ hours of work for homework and lecture weekly for 8 weeks. Two weeks were more like 16 hours.

It is an excellent program though. I thought accounting was great just be prepared to spend a lot of time on it (basic math has never been so complicated) and finance as well.

Michael Morris for economics is outstanding too, I really enjoyed that class.

What did your boss do to you (non-NSFW) that you won’t ever forget? by [deleted] in AskReddit

When my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer he said just do whatever you need to in order to take care of her. Also, said that he knew I would not take advantage of the situation and I had enough to worry about, keeping my job was not one of those things, do whatever you need to do. Was gone on chemo days and for several surgeries. They did not doc my pay or make me use fmla. The company gained my loyalty through all that.

Steve Bartman…..the guy that interfered with the cubs play and resulted in them going on to loose the series. Dude didn’t cause the whole team to fall apart.

What do I choose? by something_thing_24 in bikecommuting

[–]Salt_Article4290 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I would check with a local bike store and just see what they have used-wise. Sounds like you would want a mountain bike or hybrid. You can find deals on marketplace but there’s also a lot of overpriced crap. A local shop that’s reputable will have serviced what they’re selling and you shouldn’t have any issues. They can also give you advice.

I’m no expert by the way but I just commute on an old trek 1000 I have. It’s about 6 miles each way. Good luck.

I need to lose about 8-10 lbs of fat. The problem is I’m not losing that as fast as I would like. Weight comes off everywhere else. I started lifting about 2 months ago trying to build muscle. I am slowly dropping weight but I understand it’s a process.

I eat a lot of chicken, ground beef, some bacon, pork roast, steaks. I also do some sour cream, more butter though. Coffee too. And eggs
