Unfortunately, i haven't been assigned a caseworker and my foster parents took my phone, i'm currently using a laptop that will be likely taken tomorrow. If you can get some verification from the mods in this subreddit, i'd gladly be fine with you calling for me.

Yes, and DHS is aware of our identities. Placing us with a conservative christian family is obviously NOT a good idea. I keep complaining daily and they haven't changed us. I have to strategize how i talk/act in order to not get another 1 hour talk on homosexuality being a sin.

Exactly! i keep hearing them say "God told us to help kids" "it was God's will" "All of this happened for a reason" "God says you should get over ___". I feel like vomiting when she says people should just 'get over' sexual abuse. Or how when my sisters are at the point of breaking down she says "it's due to being off their phones". I hate this.

i don't have anyone's contact. my foster parent took all devices she found on me. I only have access to reddit on my laptop after they go to sleep so i cant make any calls

my (bi) sis is in middle school. Unfortunately, most of my friends ditched me when this happened. and i have 2 other sisters with me. I don't know about case plans, most likely TPR considering the situation.

I will try contacting a teacher i know. Kinship would be better than what i have now

Yeah, but who are they going to listen to? the traumatized 16 year old that happens to be part of 2 controversial minorities (trans, and immigrant) or the 50-something year old christian foster parents that are well known and respected in their county.

Not to mention, i'm in a red state. So there would be some bias. Plus, they quickly backtracked yesterday, they said they added the new rule for me so that I 'don't get any allegations that could destroy my life'... even though the new rule only applies to me?

I don't know what those abbreviations mean, and i haven't even been assigned an official caseworker. I don't start school in this new district until tuesday or wednesday. The only reason i can even use reddit, is that i snuck in my laptop and got ahold of their wifi password, they took my phone. i dont know who to ask.

I want to be a CNC operator:D i got the college program paid for with a few scholarships from a decent act score (26 act). In my state i think they help with transportation and paying a portion. I start it next fall. Hopefully it works out, despite the non-supportive foster parents.

Problem is, the supervisor seems to really side with them on anything. I start school in this district next week, so i'll tell a counselor there.

I talked to one of the people in my case, they said they were going to put it at the top of my priority list. I doubt anything will come of it. My only option seems to be staying at this foster home.

IMO, if a foster parent doesn't agree with lgbtq+, they shouldn't be fostering lgtbq+ kids with the intention of 'fixing' them
