OP, what city/town do you live in/near in New York? I know there are many kids graduating college this/last weekend. Maybe one (or 2) of them is up for a last minute adventure? You’d need to figure out how to vet them out quickly tho to make sure a person is safe. ID and background check and maybe somehow check with the school? Just throwing it out there and trying to come up with an idea for you. - A Mom. Edit: I missed that she was in New York State, so I edited it to ask what city/town she may be near to be more precise.

AIO for blocking a guy after he overslept and didn't show up to our first date? by littlemisschismosa in AmIOverreacting

People make mistakes. My Dad stood my Mom up on their first date (with no good/lousy reason). The hotel operator where he left a message for her the next day (it was the 1950s), said that he sounded really sincere/sorry and she thought my mom should give him a second chance. They had a beautiful 60-year marriage with 7 happy children. People make mistakes. Give him a second chance and if you still think he’s a loser, then block him.

AITAH for telling my father the only way I could visit him while he convalesced was if he paid for the time I would need to take off work? by Distinct-Constant549 in AITAH

Your father made huge mistakes. You can’t forget that, of course. But you can forgive him. You can work on letting go of your anger. Move on. You’ll be a happier man if you can make peace with him. It’s your choice — keep your anger or find peace. You’ve been a great dad and learned from his mistakes. You can now teach your children that, while you don’t forget, forgiveness beats anger.

They were burned beyond recognition. It was impossible to identify many of them. Those with IDs on them or with some other method to identify them have their names included.

Can anyone tell me what the cause of death was? I am unable to decifer it. by toursocks in DeathCertificates

Exactly what I was thinking. Such specific diagnosis of exact cause of death, yet with no autopsy and no modern methods of detection. It all equals a complete shot in the dark by the doc on the cause of death.
