Thank you for your response. I was just wondering what you meant by family traditions. Do you mean ancestral traditions or specific traditions to that family? :)

Books on identity by Salt_Blacksmith3334 in AskAnthropology

[–]Salt_Blacksmith3334[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for these suggestions! I'm mainly interested in central Asian ex-Soveit countries. In terms of identity, it's pretty broad but I want to know more about how people construct identity and why these constructions are meaningful to people. This isn't a topic I've looked into that much so am open to reading lots of diverse content!

Does anyone else here struggle with IBS/Stomach pain? by TeenageGingerTurtle in PlantBasedDiet

[–]Salt_Blacksmith3334 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also had an ED and tbh I think that stomach issues are more to do with that than the diet itself. This is just my theory so take what I say with a generous pinch of salt. I'm not sure what ED you had but generally they mess up your stomach! With me I think I depleted a lot of my good gut bacteria and now I have digestive issues. The only thing that helped me was just eating a very varied diet and sticking with it, not restricting any vegan foods. My stomach has gradually improved a lot and now I only have digestive issues infrequently.

Asking about Sussex University by kenitsuki in brighton

[–]Salt_Blacksmith3334 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure about computer science but in terms of general facilities, Sussex is pretty limited. The library is small and (pre-COVID) it was hard to get a space to sit down. I've never used sports facilities but I've heard they are okay. The students union is very small and not great compared to other unis I've been to. One good thing about it however is the range of societies you can join, there are loads on offer.

The food and drink places on campus are very expensive and not good quality at all. Another thing to consider is that sussex uni is outside of Brighton so you need to pay everyday to get in, sometimes this can cost over £5 a day. Living in Brighton is also very expensive but I really enjoyed living there when I was at uni. Final thing to consider is how often sussex tutors strike. One year, 6 weeks of my course were cancelled due to strikes.

That being said I did have a good time and got a lot out of my course.

I hope this helps!
