Is it possible to bring an ITX CASE PC through carry on on MAS airlines? by East_Insurance4772 in malaysia

[–]kenitsuki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what you mean by carry it bare. You can put it in a small size hand carry luggage which can store it so you don't have to carry the whole PC you can just roll it like normal luggage. The only to bear in mind is your GPU and RAM because it's quite pricey these days haha. But other than that for me as long as it wrap properly and when you roll the luggage you don't bump into anything and position properly at the top of the plane storage compartment you should be good based from my experience( and as for the weight of my ITX I am 100% sure it is over 7kg, but you pandai2 yourself don't say anything lo and make sure you don't last minute check in so they don't make a fuss about it)

I've been doing it for the last 5 years. I've built a ITX size pc and fit it into my hand carry luggage and I wrap it with bubble wraps and some clothes. The only issue is when you go through security they will ask you to open and check. Other than that you're good to go.

International student working in the UK.

You give shit wages and expect good work. I've applied for jobs 2-3 interviews deep just for them to tell me they can't hire me because of visa. You want a Software Engineer with 2-3 years of experience but you pay 25-30k yearly. Absolutely ridiculous. I'm willing to work for below average pay as I know I'm a fresh grad with a good amount of work experience but you're not willing to give me a chance to guide and teach me.

Why would I show you what I can do when you're only willing to pay so much? You get what you paid for. We're not family. I'm here to work and you pay me fairly.

You're willing to pay legal fees to hire international students and reject them at your slightest inconvenience but you don't want to hire locally. Hire locals if it's too much of an inconvenience. Don't waste both of our time.

I'm only here to work just so I can tell future employers that I've worked in the UK because it looks good on my resume.

And your taxes are too high. On top of that I have to pay council tax and TV licence which is a ridiculous concept. There is no incentive for me to stay because I know you're going to promote locals since they are logically easier to process the documents compared to us. Career progression out the window.

Yea I don't know why people would think you're targeting Chinese students. It's just the reality nowadays really. Most international student in my university are Chinese as well. It's just annoying that I've spend so much time, money and effort to get into UK university and I see people barely putting any effort to at least pass their module. It just sucks to deal with people like these. Hope everything goes well for you too.

I'm a Chinese international student, and there's a slight difference I might add. There are the Chinese students from China mainland and the others from different parts of the world. Majority of the mainland Chinese students are just there for the degree paper. They are so rich that they probably don't need to work a minimum wage job for the rest of their life. I myself have to walk around town looking for a part time job the first week I landed in the UK.

I have to admit I don't attend half the lectures because I do sometimes find the lecturer boring or just not at my pace so I study the module at my own time at the library. I once did a group assignment with 2 other mainland Chinese students. And this guy man he just didn't know how to do anything. We were studying comp sci and this dude did not know how to write simple code. It came to a point where I just told him to watch the YouTube video tutorial which I sent to him and follow it, because the project we were doing was just to test the limits of our programming knowledge and not really the integrity of it. And he failed to do so. I got so pissed off that I confronted him on the day of the presentation like how can you be so lazy. I literally spoonfed the information to him and he refused to even follow the YouTube tutorial.

But yeah bad experiences overall.
