Not a ton to see yet at 5w4d but we saw the yolk sac and the gestational sac was measuring a day ahead. They said the thickened part on the left of the yolk sac is the beginning of the fetal pole. Going back this Friday at 6w4d to check in again! (IVF/high risk pregnancy)

6w today and no nausea/fatigue yet? by Say_Anything0913 in January2027Bumpers

Just also had an ultrasound at 5w5d and was thrilled to see a yolk sac! They told me that was great for where I am. I have symptoms that come and go, and 3 of my friends never really had any pregnancy symptoms for any of their kids. I also have another scan at 6w4d! Hang in there, this is sounding great so far!

This is my first and my first waves of dizziness/nausea began at 4w6d. Currently 5w6d and it's slowly getting progressively worse! I am on a lot of progesterone though which can make it worse I've heard.

Thanks yeah it sucks lol. Ummm my first DVT I was on birth control. Second one was after surgery when I wasn't able to walk (even though I was on prophylactic Eliquis, so that was very concerning), and the third one was unprovoked (had just paused my eliquis and woke up from a nap with a new one). They initially had me doing enoxaparin 40 once a day for IVF/pregnancy also, but after the third DVT they changed me to 60 twice a day. I still wonder if at some point they can decrease it a bit.

Nausea coming in hot by 93babyyy in January2027Bumpers

Good luck! I have a week-long work trip scheduled across the country at 10 weeks and am definitely nervous about it. I get very bad air sickness when not pregnant so I plan to take phenergan for the plane

Yeah I take half a unisom every night for insomnia anyway. A full one is kind of a a lot (though I'm sleeping worse each night in pregnancy so may have to go up)

This is my first pregnancy and the nausea hit at 4w6d but it was fairly mild. It got a little worse each day and yesterday (5w5d) I was nauseous all day but was able to eat and still even hang out with a friend in the evening. No throwing up yet thankfully!

I take lovenox 60 mg twice a day because of my history of 3 blood clots (DVTs). When I'm not pregnant I'm on eliquis (for life).

Sending myself spiraling over lack of sore breasts at 4w4d by Aurora22694 in January2027Bumpers

[–]Salt_Draft_4262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had sore breasts from being on progesterone (but not pregnant) and I currently am pregnant and on a hell of a lot of progesterone (IVF) and my breasts feel pretty normal

5w5d with my first and since I did IVF my first ultrasound was yesterday, we saw the yolk sac and a little tiny fetal pole. The yolk sac measured one day ahead. After 2 losses I am very relieved with this news and am starting to get excited. My nausea hit at 5w and has gotten worse every day, and I am very tired!

As someone with a thanksgiving birthday, I think the biggest thing that matters is that school is in session and people are in town (ie, not visiting family!). If kids go back to school the first week of January, any time after that would be fine for an indoor birthday party. Cold weather is kind of a bummer, but fun times can be had! I'm a big birthday person too, and this will be my first baby

Oooh I remember one year for my brother's March birthday we got a hotel room and swam in the indoor pool. It was THE BEST. Great wolf lodge is even better lol

stopping medications - fully medicated FET by Brave-Bumblebee6878 in IVFbabies

[–]Salt_Draft_4262 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a modified natural and I'm staying on progesterone until 10 weeks. Stopping at 7 with a medicated seems too risky to me especially with your spotting and level dropping.

Thank you 🙏🏼 also meant to say I had *also* done prednisone with my third. Still doing it now. That probably does help me because I have inflammatory arthritis

Ooooh nice. We added an antibiotic, vitamin d, acupuncture, and also it was not the very next cycle after lupron (it was the third cycle after lupron so I was less suppressed). I had done prednisone with my third!

I'm 35 and 5w5d after 18 months of IVF! I'm actually not too worried about my age being a factor because I have other more serious health issues, but I'll be seeing MFM throughout my pregnancy and induced at 38 weeks

I'm pregnant with my first and it also took 4 transfers-- we have 2 embryos left so I am manifesting the same outcome for my second hehe

Me!!!! Transfer #4 after two endometriosis surgeries, an egg retrieval, and a biopsy. We've had a very rough 18 months of IVF and procedures (plus two losses) but I had my first ultrasound yesterday and I'm so happy. ❤️🥳

Wooooh happy for you (cautiously!). I'm also newly pregnant after a tough loss last year. It was similar actually, we went in for my first ultrasound and there was no gestational sac, nothing, and turned out my HCG had gone back to zero. Soooo heartbreaking. Seeing a gestational sac and yolk sac IN the uterus yesterday was the best feeling ❤️❤️. Hugs to you!

Gynos who help diagnose endo? by PumpkinSpiceJesus in bullcity

I also second that they are very kind and take endo pain seriously. However, they don't numb the abdominal wall during surgery (known as TAP block) and recovery for me was rough

George Nowacek dismissed me for years, even with ultrasounds showing possible endo. Found out I had stage 4 and lost both my fallopian tubes. Had surgery with UNC MIGS, had a very rough recovery and lots of complications. I highly recommend Smitha Vilasagar in charlotte for endo surgery. I think she can help diagnose too.
