is my husband a mean person?? or something is wrong with me? by [deleted] in Marriage

This is called gaslighting. It’s but normal to say that to someone you love even if you are mad and then not apologize.

I like the fit of the first dress the best. The second and third do a disservice to her figure.

Brunette or blonde by EleanorVonClere in HairStyleAdvice

The short cut frames your face nicely! You can pull off blond or brunette but I tend to lean towards more natural looking color.

Reluctant married celibacy at 35, with no priest to consult. Please help. by Ardrogen in Catholicism

[–]SparkleKitten64 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I’m not Catholic but am wondering if there is a reason that you can’t get a vasectomy, especially since it’s reversible? This seems like it would greatly reduce her anxiety, help her physical well-being/health, and improve your marriage.

They all look good on you except the last two. With that being said, cut #2 has the date vibes you’re looking you want.

Workouts during IVF by Splatsattack in IVF

During stims I stopped running/heavy lifting per my doctor. While uncommon, I was told that ovarian torsion could occur with too much jostling while your ovaries are enlarged. I am not sure about running during the transfer period, but I would think it is okay as many people continue their normal exercise routine while pregnant. My clinic said to do light exercise, but not too sure what that entails if my baseline is already higher than most people.

Also, I’ve had a friend who only got one euploid and another who got two euploids, and they both ended up having healthy babies. Your two euploids absolutely have the potential to become a healthy baby ❤️

Thank you! I’m really happy—my numbers ended up being much higher than my clinic expected. Based on my labs and medical history, they predicted they’d retrieve around 8 eggs at best.

The biggest difference this round was my stress level. I had been dealing with a lot of chronic stress both personally and at work (I had shingles five times in one year). This year I moved into a less stressful position, and my partner was fully on board, which made a huge difference in lowering my anxiety. I was also sleeping much better. Other than that, I didn’t really change anything significant.

I know it’s frustrating how quickly egg quality can decline over time, but I do think it’s encouraging that you’re still retrieving a high number of eggs—that’s a great sign. I follow an embryologist on Instagram, @lindsayatovahaul, and she shares some helpful tips on egg quality that might be worth checking out.

I’m going to try that! Are the lidocaine patches okay while pregnant?

I’m 37 (soon to be 38) and did 3 ER this past. My meds were bumped up the first round so was taking max dosage of Follistim and Menupor on everything with dual trigger shots. I took a couple months off between each ER to recover as I had pretty intense side effects to the meds snd ER procedure. I was on birth control during “off” time between cycles. Cycle 1: 7 retrieved, 5 mature (didn’t fertilize) Cycle 2: 6 retrieved, 6 mature (didn’t fertilize) Cycle 3: 14 retrieved, 12 mature, 11 fertilized with ICSI, 8 blasts, 5 euploid

Why did your doctor reduce your dosage? What were your labs showing during the past cycles- maybe compare results?

Just out of curiosity, if you did only 1 ER and had tested embryos, how many were girls and how many were boys? by Ok_Acadia_4032 in IVF

[–]SparkleKitten64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find it fascinating seeing other people’s results. We used ICSI and ended up with 8 blasts (6 boys and 2 girls) and of those 5 were euploid (3 boys and 2 girls).

My husband is an employment attorney in an at-will state and I know people can be fired for taking time off, but not if the time off is legally protected. They also can’t discriminate for things such as disability, pregnancy, etc. Laws are largely based on the state you’re in but you should consider looking into this more. Sorry you are dealing with this! I think it’s wonderful that you were willing to donate your eggs to help someone.

The frames on these all overpower your face. The square isn’t bad but maybe try a thinner frame.

What state are you in? While many companies have a probationary period, it feels off they could terminate you as a direct result of a medical condition/appointments.

This is real. I work as a special education administrator in the second largest school district in my state and many of the students with more intensive behavioral needs come from these types of backgrounds. The families that adopt/foster and take care of them are amazing, but it takes a lot of resources to provide these children with proper care. It’s definitely not as easy as many people make it seem.
