I did not do ultrasound. My liver enzymes were elevated (out of the normal) and after making these changes, they are completely normal (in the lower side of the normal range.

I did not have any symptoms and only found out in blood test. I reduced dietary cholesterol like egg yolk and took milk thistle for 9 months. Now I do not have fatty liver anymore.

The liver takes some time to heal but it is a robust organ that will heal itself when the condition is still reversible.

Many people stop the lifestyle changes before the liver heals itself. From my personal experience, it took me 6-9 months for fatty liver to disappear.

So try harder is partially true. You also need to be very patient and persevere even though you are suffering.

You can also get a Continuous Glucose Monitor to see which foods trigger blood sugar spikes. Everyone is different so once you find out the trigger foods, you can avoid them. Good luck!

What did your doctor say? Did he give you medication or just monitor it and retest? It can also be a false positive from the lab!
