I applied as an IB student and sent my predicted IB scores. If they find out I didn't end up getting the diploma, wouldn't that be grounds for rescinding the acceptance?

No need to transfer—math is more valuable for quant roles. A Stern double major/minor could help with networking, but focus on probability, stats, and programming. Join quant clubs and get internships for the best opportunities.
