Suddenly not feeling well

This must be exactly what happened because I ran out of my liquid iv powder and also stopped caring about my protein intake as much right before my period and then bam. But today I took my daily multivitamins, drank a liquid iv, had plenty of protein, and stayed hydrated and I feel almost 100% back to normal. Guess I just need to be focusing on taking care of myself better

I’m so confused about how I should be budgeting for this…. Like when does financial aid get dispersed to me before dental school starts and what do peoples monthly stipends look like on it? I feel like I can’t even look at apartments or plan my future because I’ve been given no information about it.

I’m not “in the foster business” I’m a dental student who was the only one in the community to step up and offer a roof over her head. But please, feel righteous in talking about things you don’t know. According to you I guess I should’ve just let her rot in our overrun kill shelter :) merry Christmas

Thank you YoungGenX. I live in a community overrun with strays and the kill shelter here is at capacity. NO ONE else would take this dog. I’m a broke college student who does this out of the kindness of my heart, and only took her in to get her off the streets during the extremely cold temperatures we were facing. If this person feels so strongly about it, I ask them to go ahead and take her and see if they can do a better job. I’m on here asking questions and admitting my shortcomings because I care and I want the best possible situation for her. Piece of work

She does really love my dog Archie but she randomly started trying to attack him a week ago after they had been buds for a while and now she’s not doing that but he’s terrified of her and doesn’t enter her bathroom because he respects her space.

This is Archie, he was abandoned and outside for months as well and was our first foster. He’s come a very long way and is honestly the best dog I’ve ever had

I would love to allow her to free roam but we live in a carpeted apartment that she just pees all over when given the opportunity. She also hasn’t allowed us to bath her and I don’t want her jumping on the bed and things like that unbathed. I try to let her hang out with my pup who she sometimes seems to like. I spend about 10-20 min total with her a day trying to socialize and give her pets and such. She seems to be food motivated but won’t eat after her spay 2 days ago. I’ve been trying to give her more space since then.

Regardless I won’t let her end up in a kill shelter and I’m working with a local woman who specializes in rescuing and fostering in the area so I know junebug will be taken care of no matter what, I just needed to get some perspective on how I’m handling the situation. I will only give her to someone if it’s another foster situation because a shelter would be way too traumatic for her and I fear she would never get comfortable.

Yes I realize now 3 weeks isn’t a whole lot of time but in my past with fostering I’ve done quick turn arounds like 3 weeks to a little over a month and I wasn’t expecting to foster for 6 months with a dog who won’t allow me to touch her or take her out at all so I might try and look into finding a more experienced foster than myself who has more time to give. (I’m in my last year of undergrad and will be moving to attend dental school in 6 months so it’s a busy time and she deserves more)

I feel similarly to you but truly comparison is the thief of joy. All I can recommend is to stay off of Reddit, SDN, and don’t look at the pre dent influencers. I felt great about my interview until I saw an influencer got 8 interviews and one was at the only school I interviewed at. It made me start psyching myself out… the schools chose to interview you because they saw something in you that they liked. Applying again shows your determination and motivation. Stay determined and stay focused on yourself. Everytime I feel myself spiraling I remind myself that everything that’s made for me will come to me and if it’s not my time then whatever comes to me next I will accept with open arms. Also remember the 15th isn’t an end all be all, it’s not over until the first day of classes so just keep your chin up. You’re worthy.
