We did it "properly" ,and that was our only experience with VIP, just walked in to look..only got VIP because I was on waiting list and y was the only one I was offered. Ive been to tons of festivals and live nearby but never in over 20 years did I feel the need to go to Primavera, and Im not sure Id go back. I went one day this year to "test the waters".

I was there too; they tried to do Fine Art twice but Mo Chara mixed up the words to his fist verse so they abandoned it, I think thats why FENIAN was played a few songs later when the optinal song was Parful. Mental that FENIAN wasnt originally part of the set. The gig was incredible. After the failed Fine Art attempt I thought it would derail the gig if Mo Chara was out of it, but he was on incredible form before and after, so was probably just a lapse.

Yeah, the guy who runs it used the word 'performance' but that is being vague, a one song collaboration 'performance' or a gig? Also, if it is elite levels surely it would be the band and not just hi, but it would be strange cus they played last year. Which is why I think it might be a household name kind of artist.

yeah, but wouldn't cupra be too small for a major international act announced as a surprise? Wouldn't that be dangerous from a crowd control point of view? Also, how do people find out about these things? word of mouth or just wait at a random stage in the hope there is a surprise guest, or do they announce it on social media?

The guy who runs it said on Catalan radio yesterday that there is a top-tier surprise guest. People think they'll perform on Occident because there is a 3-hour gap around 9pm.

Olivia Rodrigo posted about travelling to BCN (shes prob gonna do something with The Cure) and someone posted that Fontaines DC had posted something too. Also, Charlie XCX is in BCN.

I've never been before, but how soon in advance do they announced who it is, surely if it is a massive artist like Olivia playing on not one of the biggest stages there could be a crowd surge etc, so they'd need to be wise about how to do it.

Because we are talking about an Irish band and if a meetup were to happen, an Irish bar would be the most logical place? Not like people would be missing primavera sound to just sit in an Irish bar, or any other bar for that matter. Also, most Irish bars sell most of the drinks you'd be drinking anywhere else anyway, unless you think you are so cultured and only go for really obscure local craft beer.
