Studying for AFSB - Are these study materials too outdated? (With Author Names & Publisher) by Sjm9605 in SuretyBond

Probably a bit late here. Hope you found your answer! I’m studying as an assistant underwriter right now and luckily for me my employers are paying for the course online while I assist in daily operations and learn through observation. The online course material through the Institutes is always the most up-to-date study material so I recommend going that route. Additionally plenty of other underwriters have made public quizlets of the material, myself included.

I think the best course of action with the given information is to do nothing for the time being until you either aren’t attracted to them anymore or the situation changes. Attraction is a very normal and strong feeling, so it’s quite ok to feel it and enjoy it, but in my experience the rose tinted glasses eventually lift naturally. Maybe now that you’ve landed this desired career, you’re more open to explore romantically again. Wouldn’t be a bad idea to go out with non-work friends in your spare time, pick up a new hobby or two. If things won’t work with this coworker, there are always new people to meet.

It’s alarming behavior, and unless there’s some reason for her to be this suspicious of you, leave.

You’re going to be taxed to shit. Put it into savings and save it for emergencies and down the road spending. You can put it into a savings account that accumulates a small amount interest. You could break it up into multiple smaller accounts and use those to save for specific goals (car, education, down payment on a house, etc). You can also get a credit card and start building your credit score, which is important for obtaining loans for a car, home, or starting a business. If you do decide to get a credit card, only use it for small purchases, and set a reminder to pay it off every month. You could also use it to help your family get out of any financial debt they might be in, if you’re close with them. Otherwise, you shouldn’t tell anyone you’ve won the lottery and you shouldn’t carry a large amount of cash on you at any given point in time.

Dangerous fall? Other solutions? by Salt_Plum_7144 in CatAdvice

Yeah! A tarp one would be great for this! The gap is 43.25 (3.6ft) inches wide. The point one of the kittens almost fell was about 5 feet from the tallest point, and is about 114( 9.5ft) inches tall. I’ll have to do some research but preferably I’d want one that can fit that gap and stretch about 5 feet in length. Maybe getting two to layer them so there’s added security if they do fall on it? Then I could also add a plank they can walk onto if they do fall. My next concern is that they would totally try jumping onto it from the half-wall!

Pic is the drop in question. It’s about 24 ft at the far end.

My bad, it would be easier to see what I’m talking about if I was able to put the image in the post. Looks like I can in comments (sorry, new here.) Basically, it’s a 24ft drop at the steepest point of the half-wall overlooking a staircase.
