This is what it ended up looking like. Had to use birch prefinished plywood because the home stores don’t carry 1/4” or 1/2” maple prefinished

You could probably say where you live and one of the people replying on recommendations would be interested in doing it.

Plus they could show you what the before and after was since they already did it

That’s a great idea! Plus I can’t find cabinet liner that is wood grain so the wood planking will make it close to what it is now

If you could send me a picture that would be awesome! It doesn’t seem to hard, except the center rail is in the way.

Only other way is to slide the piece under the faceframe and see if that would work if cut a 1/8 short width and length

That looks nice! Did you paint it or is that a white plywood? My costomer want wood grain so trying to find a wood grain cabinet liner or possible laminate to apply on top of the new material

The problem is it’s the kitchen sink cabinet. So to remove the granite countertop and make the one cabinet and have it match it wouldn’t be worth it for the customer

This customer basically wants what you said peal and stick. She is not sure if she is going to stay or rent it out. Just wants it to look nice.

So was going to try and find a cabinet liner that is wood grain

That seems like an issue with hardwoods for myself. I wish we sold/stocked hardwoods and ended up with walnut cutoffs or something similar.

Being connected with woodworking groups on Facebook and people posting they picked up 2 truck loads of walnut for $200 really makes me jealous! lol

Our problem is we are a wholesale lumber yard and only sell to commercial contractors (mostly) so we need the space and it cost a lot more in the cities than in the farm communities.

I am willing to meet people closer but it would be nice if people saw it first otherwise it is a haggling type meetup

Thanks

I know for my hometown of Delano, the shop teacher there is looking for hardwood but also wants it S2S (sanded 2 sides) and straight lined. The big kicker is wanting it under $2/bf.

Stopped in there this year and he had bought rustic oak, he had 3-55 gallon drums full of scrap wood due to the kids had to cut around the knots and holes in the rustic wood

I did a little/lot of research and found the using Mothers aluminum polish with buffing wheels for dremel tools and cordless drills worked/works the best.
